Left Option Trading to Become a Profitable Swing Trader | Big Bull EP-53

The Stock Market is neither a video game nor a gamble. Our Today's Big Bull stock market podcast guest Jayesh Bhimrao Aghade from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar understood this after a few losses.
Jayesh is a Scholar, currently pursuing his PhD in Zoology. Jayesh first heard about the stock market when he was doing his Bachelor’s back in 2012. In 2014 he completed his MSc and later tried many jobs hands-on.
In 2020 he saw his friends doing the stock market so asked them about how they make money through it. They told him about equity trading and how he could make a profit with it. Jayesh borrowed money from his mother and friend and started trading in Dec 2020.
At that time market was on a bull run and simply buying any stock would mean huge profit. He earned a handsome profit in a span of 1 month. But in January 2021 stock market was in a correction phase and he lost almost 75% capital in a few days.
Then he came to know about options trading. He again borrowed money from his mother and luck favoured him. But it was short-lived. Just in a day, he lost almost 80% of his capital. He pledged never to trade again in the stock market.
But at the same, he was keen to learn it. He took a hiatus of 3 months, bought books on trading strategies and started learning it properly. After realising his mistakes he started trading again. But this time intraday trading.That too in equity.
Trading capital was low but he was getting the benefit of a margin. But he was repeating a few mistakes that he committed in past. Like never using stop loss, not following a trade setup properly etc.
Also trading discipline and risk management was totally absent. So he was making losses this time too. He was using price action. But he used to do the analysis of mistakes. He again started reading books about risk management.
He learned about it again and improved his position sizing. Even started using technical indicators. This time he shifted to equity trading again. Weaponed with discipline, psychology and a proper trade setup he was ready again.
With experience, he learned that everything works in the stock market. Whether it is a trendline, support resistance or a technical indicator. One just needs to focus on learning. Today Jayesh is a profitable swing trader. He picks Nifty 100 stocks and sometimes large-cap stocks too.

You are right, but problem with options is you have to be timely right. Even if you feel market will go up and eventually goes up but after a few days, you won't make money. Not everyone is such sharp. Many people are there in market doing as part time. For them option will be brutal
