Hey, I wanted to know what I should do during the left something behind manouver if I'm trying to make a hook turn and go back even though I know that my ute's turning radius is too big to complete a hook turn. Should i tell the assessor about the turning radius or should i avoid hook turns and look for driveways and roundabouts? Thank you

As long as you can do the hook turn safely without impeding other traffic it’s fine

Late comment, but that shouldn't be an issue, just tell the assessor you forgot. You're being marked on how you carry out the low speed manoeuvres not your memory of the spot you originally took off from. As long as you stop somewhere safe and legal nearby to that spot on that street you will be ok :)

I find the 'dont pass the mailbox' thing for 3 point turns to be kinda awkward. Some people have their mailbox really close to the curb, while others have it a lot further in.

Dragonzord Thanks for your enquiry When you don’t find a suitable driveway, try making hook turns instead. Or try to reverse into a driveway so don’t have to cross the property lines. Sometimes people keep their mailbox at wrong spots specially in new suburbs 😐

jaskotz If you don’t find a driveway that’s not deep enough you can do hook turn instead Normally driveways are minimum 3 meters deep that’s equal to a car length Regards

Isn't that an incorrect finish as well poor drive way choice? You've reversed back out onto the road so you need to do your mirror, indicate, blind spot to go forward and then the left indicate to signal the pull over. Would have been better to go up at least one drive way so the finish is not as rushed?
