Ren became seriously ill in 2010 but his condition wasn't diagnosed properly for another 6 years. In the meantime the meds he was given made him worse and he was often confined to his bed for up to 23 hours a day. In 2016 he was correctly diagnosed with Lyme Disease and he had a couple of stem cell transplants which improved his health. However, the years of incorrect treatment have left him with a badly damaged immune system and some brain damage. He is currently receiving specialist medical treatment in Canada which is likely to take at least 6 months

Gotta love shitty healthcare. It took me 27 years to diagnose myself with Kallmann Syndrome. It wasn’t until I went on The Doctor’s TV show before I was formally diagnosed and took another 3 years before I started consistent treatment. I’ve had severe migraines and muscle cramps all of my life with them progressively getting worse over the past 5 years. It’s taken 37 years to be referred to a neurologist…and I still don’t have a diagnosis. Prior to the neurology referral I was diagnosed with celiac disease and microscopic colitis. (Celiac a year and a half ago. Colitis two months ago.) While I do have some answers I still deal with an incredible amount of pain every day. There’s plenty of others like me in this world and Ren helps shed some light on our lives.

@@BrandonWestfall I think the biggest problem was that they didn't test him for Lyme Disease in the early stages. After they had missed the boat on that they were just trying to treat the individual symptoms - which could never treat the underlying condition

Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's livestreams and posts where he discussed his condition. Ren Erin Gill is a British musician/independent artist; born in Wales on March 29, 1990; he eventually moved to Brighton. Ren pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures. In 2010, he was signed by Sony Records and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point where he was unable to continue and subsequently his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is currently in Calgary, Canada for more treatments, including surgeries, and will have to be there for at least six months (Summer of 2023) undergoing IV and other interventions five days a week. Ren recently underwent wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery. In addition, his Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Now, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. Let's keep supporting Ren as he undergoes his treatments. Ren is an artist with something to say to the world, and his work is important in these troubling times. Great reaction guys. I have a technical question. I am a reactor, and I have been talking to a few other youtubers about doing some reactions together. However, I can't figure out HOW, or what program to do it on. I use OBS Studios, and I have been told that I can't do a LIVE reaction with a guest. Did you guys record this ahead of time or was it a live? What program are you using to bring in the other person? I saw that you kept looking towards your fellow reactor, but you aren't at the same place, right? I just wonder what you are looking at, is it your "partner" on a separate monitor? That would make sense. I'm just trying to figure out how to bring a guest on, and share the screen to react to the same video at the same time. I've searched for youtube tutorials, but I can't find any that show how to accomplish this. I would appreciate your input! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video and give us recommendations to go on. That is something we will make a video on to help other people that want to create better understand. We are both in nursing schools two hours apart, sometimes you might see a video where we are in the same room, two differnt cameras or it might be in two different locations. we utilize Ecamm to make it happen. One person runs the stream or recording session and the other person if they are away from you, are able to see what the person sees. that way, you are able to capture in real time.

as Sammy D ( comments below ) stated, Ren contracted Lyme disease, was misdiagnosed as bi-polar, given psychotropic meds that fed his psychosis.......he is still in treatment..... it all started when he was 17 -- he is still in treatment and has a GoFundMe account to help pay medical bills......the pig is a butcher and represents Ren's opinion of mental health care, the discordant guitar and vocals represent his internal chaos, as do the blinking lights.......

ok this is one of my fav reactions i love how the mics are a little muted when the video is playing also i like how ya'll watched it with like no pauses cuz all the others pause it every 2 seconds and talk for 7 min straight and it drives me nuts so i like how you guys listen to it and then said your opinions thats what i want with reaction vids cause i also wanna enjoy the music without having it being stopped every 2 sec also the reactions i like are like this i wanna see your face and body movement as the reaction then after the vid speak about what they think about it, I loved this reaction so thanks!
