I watched that game with my buddy a die hard Falcons fan. After the game he just got up, shook our hands and thanked us for his support. Dude was shell shocked

I think it goes away after you win it all. In Chicago no one talks about Steve Bartman anymore.

Losses only affected me when i was in my early twenties...after that it was no big deal...i could care less now, especially knowing its scripted.

Grow up and get over it. It’s a game. A life long diehard fan or not. It’s just a game that grown men are playing and you have no control over the outcome. Don’t let sports outcomes affect real life. Sports is really important and popular in our culture because it helps us distract from real life struggles and stresses and it gives us a feeling of camaraderie . But if the outcome doesn’t go your way, be disappointed and move on. It’s all entertainment.

Remind them it's just entertainment, the players don't know or care about them, and they didn't participate in the game.
