Luv this knife, what a slicer. Already put my own edge on it and wow luv the stickyness. It is a awesome sticky sharp blade👌 I grabbed the right hand one. Although a lefty I prefer the satin blade over the stone wash look. No problem though, I keep a knife in my left leg pocket and it is better that its a righty. All in all though, nice made nice attractive knife. Glad I grabbed the one I grabbed. If they make a mini, oh yeah, Im on it. Keep on keepin on brother #leftylivesmatter ✊

It's definitely a cool knife I think if the handle was straight instead of curved down I would have bought one already but that turned down pistol grip kinda handle really turns me off I probably should start trying knives like this I'd probably like them

Hey, I don't have any experience with DLC coatings. I really want to get the new Padre on pre-order reverse tux with the DLC . Has anyone ever re-profiled a blade coated with dlc, and did anyone have any issues with it?

U would have to recoat it which means u cant do that.

@@LeftyEDC sorry, what I mean is knocking the edge angle back, not sure what the factory angle is, but I usually knock it back to about 17°. Just wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any issues with chipping or scratching and the coating would come off properly as long as I use Diamond Stones because I heard true DLC coding is about 80 Rockwell. Thx

Not an engineer, but it seems like they could have slid the two finger grips back 1/4 - 1/2" to provide more cutting edge and less banana protrusion when choked up. Think Oz Roosevelt.

A mini??? The blade is 3.3 inches…. Any smaller than that and it’s not worth the price I’m SICK of seeing 300-600$ knives and more with 2 inches of blade. There’s zero cost to materials value left at that point.

Hey Mikey. This is actually incorrect. To an extent the size of the knife matters in cost of raw materials. But raw materials makes up a pretty small % of the cost of the knife. Actually machining a small knife is much harder. Something has to hold the parts as they get milled/turned/etc so the smaller the part the harder that gets. Ive had both small and mid size knives made (2.25 “to 3.6” blade) and there is no difference in cost. Hope this helps explain that a little. But the handle on this particular knife is just too long for my taste. Id love to see a mini. They could just update the blade to handle ratio a little

@@LeftyEDC I’m glad it’s difficult. I have no issue with a 3.5 inch bladed knife. Anything smaller has to have a specific purpose. Nothing upset me more than paying 600$ for knife then in hand it looks like an ink pen . I’m a big guy but my hands are not large hands. Also at the end of the day the materials have to factor in if not then they should not double and triple the price based on blade steel and handle scale material. BUT THEY DO. So I appreciate what you’re saying but it also is not completely accurate I think your statement and mine both have to be included for the conversation to be accurate. If I’m wrong go look at 3inch d2 blade vs a 3 inch magnacut. I will agree though the handle is too long. But the blade (for me ) could not go any smaller. I’m hesitating on buying it now just because of blade length. Benchmades immunity is perfect example. I’m a profile guy and I love that knife’s profile but it’s soooooo small. Lastly. I completely agree with your statement as PART of the equation but I don’t buy very many handmade custom knives. I usually buy production models. At the point they are production and a process is in place I feel that your argument becomes even more irrelevant

I absolutely love the look of this knife and after my experience with the Chad, I’m sure it would be a fantastic buy. I am still on hiatus from knife purchasing but after I get the Stout V2, I think the Padre will follow soon after! Glad you liked this one and I love how they have the lefty version!

Adjusting the lockbar tension. Takes a little practice but it becomes pretty easy

@@ajpendno you need to bend the lockbar. Its not something you want to do without some practice on a cheaper knife or watching some videos. I think neeves has a video dedicated to that
