I'm a left arm leg spinner and I practiced bawling the leg spinner and the googly too. I haven't use it in a match yet but in the net right hand batters hit hard to my leg spinner. I understand the reason why, because it has lot of flight so that they have the time to play at it. Do you have any suggestions to bawl faster in the same action as a orthodox spinning action. That falls under experience, and every batter is different. In general, bowl your stock delivery for the vast majority of your balls an mix it up with the variations. try and see which variation will be able to capitalize on the batters weaknesses 💪

This is interesting... This is the first time I've seen anyone show a definitive visual explanation of the 'Slider'. My understanding having read many books on Wrist-spin bowling and watched literally hundreds of videos on the issue, the slider was simply an anomalous description of the Orthodox back-spinner - which this certainly isn't. Then there's Warne post career explanation of the Slider e.g. it was normally a big Leg-Break that simply skidded on probably due to the smooth side of the ball hitting the surface rather than the seam or one that was just released incorrectly due to cold fingers (Bowling in England). Who is the bowler in the video and who showed him this release? It looks more like the Iverson-Gleeson method from the 1950's which isn't a slider. I'd be very interested in seeing the source of this 'Slider' and where it originated.

There is so much theory in English cricket probably that is the reason why you have not had any world class leggies in recent decades. The way in which this bowler is bowling is a telegram to the batsman. That's why unorthodox bowlers do so well. Take Chadrashekar and Kumble for example, they hardly turned the ball but were so successful home and away.

Exactly the same as a turf wicket. Extremely consistent as the ball wont turn as much as a turf wicket in general. Play a bit more with your speed an flight to get natural variation.
