Latin x doesn't have anything to do with chicano history Chicano is a Mexican American Who has generations in the West Coast Since it was Mexican territory something you can't accociate with other south American countries there is a historical boundary

Latin Americans are a group of diverse communities whose identity coalesces around languages introduced by Iberian colonizers. Although a sizeable portion of this group considers itself "indigenous," many do not speak a non-European language. Latin communities have their internal contradictions revolving around race. The Spaniards often attribute a lower social status to Hispanic groups from their former colonies than their European counterparts, just as the French or the English do concerning speakers from their "former" African colonies. However, unlike the Americas, where only some conservative indigenous groups retain their original languages, many African nations have preserved their original languages.
