I've been using Spektrum for quite some years now, even on advanced models, and I STILL learnt a lot from this video. This is exactly how an instruction video should be. Masterclass!

This is the best video I've seen on setting up these type of mixes. I watched it when it first came out but as a newbie, didn't quite grasp all of the setups and how they might be useful. Now after watching it a couple of years later, I can see where I might want to use some of those mixes. Thanks Chris.

This is a great and very helpful video. I setup my Turbo Duster before I even had the plane assembled and all I had to do was reverse a servo in the transmitter and everything worked perfectly. Thank you, Chris!

Thanks for the detail you provided. I’m a year into the hobby and I have much to learn. Carl Fulton

Wondering about using the flaps as ailerons. While they are inboard with less leverage, it also doesn't need to roll as quickly (same number of degrees/second, but doesn't move as fast). Also, with your setup taken to the extreme, then you have inboard ailerons which are highly inefficient with a lot of drag. It would seem that the opposite (more aileron travel, with less flaps following along) would work better.

Thank you for the great video and explanations. When the plane's manual has recommended minimum and maximum throws, should you still set the servo travel limits to the maximum physical servo binding limits ? perhaps getting close to recommended max throw by adjusting the linkage ?

Chris, what is the light blue Velcro material which is glued to the battery shelf and where can I buy it? Bill

i would like you to do this with extreme flight 104 extra or something similar for those people there having issues setup radio with extreme flight 104 extra just a thought thanks great video

setting up/down throws on the ailerons via matching travel "numbers" will not be even unless you have zero subtrim
@RyanBess8 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, Question: Why did you use subtrim to center the control surfaces vs mechanically centering them? Wont using subtrim cause the plane to have more or less throw in one direction?
@Hercdriver77778 жыл бұрын
The servo arm geometry at 90 degrees to the hinge line etc.. is the most important. If that doesn't line up with a servo spline then su trim is required. That won't create uneven throws because the throw is mechanically limited by the hinge bevels and or you are using a throw meter of some kind to set the throws evenly.

Can you download the program on your radio onto this page. It would sure save me a bunch of time.
