In kindergarten way back when, I had a dragon dagger toy. Somewhere and somehow, I lost it and never got another one as a kid. Tommy was my absolute hero growing up. My heart was broken when the news came out of JDF's passing. I put off going to see him at events for too long, and now I will never get the chance to. At age 33, I just got this dagger and the green/white morpher for myself. The nostalgia I get from looking at it and holding it... man. Brings back the little rascal that's been locked away inside for decades. I will cherish these items for the rest of my life.

The front-facing coin on the dagger should've been a button to play the MMPR theme song..... then that would've freed-up the middle button/valve piece to play the "Go Green Ranger, Go!" theme.

I compared it to a flute because it is played on the show similar to a flute. The layout looks more like a clarinet, sure, but most people seem to call this a flute in comparison. Also, fun fact: I played flute in middle school. I should get it out and practice since it’s been a while since I last played it lol.

I played clarinet all the way up through High School, and the last time I try to play with after my surgery. I was so sad when I couldn't make one sound come out because of my breathing problems in my asthma that I got hit with in my thirties. I would definitely subscribe to you and hopefully I get to see you play your flute again!😁 and yes I agree with you the way it was held in the show was much like a flute and a green ranger himself never really fooled around with the holes. I just remembered the flutes when I used to go to school had those caps over them while clarinet has holes and caps LOL. But I do see your point. Can't wait to see the video

I had one of the originals when I was a kid. This one looks almost exactly like I remember mine (who knows where it ended up all those years ago). This one might be bigger then the old one... not sure. Same sounds and design, I know that.

I didn't see the villains though all I saw villain wise was the villain with 5 ranger set. They did have the morpher too. The tommy version but decided to hold off on that. In fact, I really like to become the Mighty Morphin green ranger just like Jason David Frank (AKA Tommy Oliver) someday. That's because I've been learning & doing karate moves & skills.

Hmm. The sound of the summoning song isn't quite right. The one from the show sounds more like a trumpet. I still wonder if that was actually trumpets or a synthesizer, and if a synthesizer, what model/instrument.

Sure it may look more like a clarinet, but it is played more like a flute with the mouthpiece on the side. Not that it really matters either way, but I can understand the flute comparison based on how it is played.

Tap the little smaller circular bit on the end with something like a pen and then you'd be able to get the cap open, along with bring out the battery compartment, mmprtoys showed that in their video as well.

I did review Legacy Saba as well. As for which is better, they’re honestly both great so I think it would just come down to personal preference as far as which one you like more. If I truly had to pick, I think I’d say Saba because it’s a cooler look in my opinion and I like the moving mouth when he talks.

I had one of the original plastic versions of this when it was first out 20-ish years ago, and it cost around 60$ at the time. If you've been waiting 20 years for something of superior quality and think 80$ is too much, maybe just make one out of cardboard and stop crying?

Kairu Hakubi Meh, when you want something, you want something :P Like most people I've got a budget to work with as well, but if you really want a certain item it comes down to if you feel like it's worth it to you. For example, I recently purchased an UltraSaber (one of many types/companies that have lightsaber props/replicas/custom/etc...) and it set me back just under 700$. Took me awhile to save up for it, but Star Wars has been my absolute favorite since I first saw the original trilogy when I was 5, almost 25 years ago now.

Kairu Hakubi Oh don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not rich at all. It's part planning, part waiting, and part fortunate luck. Lucky in that my preferred methods of entertainment are few, and relatively inexpensive. I'm a gamer who prefers long-winded RPGs most, so a 50$ new game can keep me content for weeks if not months. If not that, then it's reading, where my taste is Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I just recently finished the last of a 10-part series called Malazan: Book of the Fallen. Each book cost me around the same as any, in the 10-12$ area. The 10 in total span almost 12k pages and took me well over a full year to complete... And I fill the gaps with TV, 2 rabbits, and snow...I'm Canadian. And so, other than normal bills I'm pretty free to spend/save money any way I like from week to week, since my job is literally 5 minutes from home and costs me virtually nothing beyond a pair of shoes or 2 a year. And finally, I've been practically foaming at the mouth for an UltraSaber for a couple years now, unable to decide on exactly what I wanted since I wanted room to modify/expand, which is easy with time. Finally one day I noticed myself sitting on a good size of cash in my bank account and just said screw it, BUY!

did yours come with any kind of oily residue on it or scratches? Im afraid mine was used. The big hint was that it was in the box upside down, double taped, and had a few light scratches on it. Couldn't tell if it was quality problem or not, but im convinced it was used and i bought it from A1-Toys on Amazon. Please let me know!

I don't think they will make the other power weapons because the other power weapons such as the the Red, Ranger's power sword, the Black Ranger's power axe, the Blue Ranger's power lance, and the Pink Ranger's power bow would be way too expensive if they had actually made the other power weapons too.
