This episode gave me mixed feelings. We are beginning to see the vulnerable side of Yaman, his insecurities, his sad memories of his childhood, ... I actually felt very sad for him. It reminded me of what Seher said in one of the earlier episodes about the mask people wear when they are afraid and once you look under the mask, you don't see a brave person but a person who is afraid and needs love. I read somewhere that acting with babies and children is very hard. Actors and actresses basically behave and stop being drama queens when there are babies and small kids on set. Coz you cant control babies and if they get upset and start crying the whole set down, there's nothing you can do. The shooting has to be postponed. I must commend the character who is playing Seher. You can see the chemistry between her and Yusuf is really strong. Yusuf is very comfortable acting with her. Even when they show behind the scenes shots, you can that she hangs out with Yusuf,. There are also shots of Yaman playing with Yusuf on set. He's the only kid actor on the set and I bet they really work hard to make him feel a part of the team. It also helps that Seher is barely out of her teens and so Yusuf feels she's the only one closest to him agewise, if that makes sense.

We all saw love in yaman's eyes but what we all failed to see was a boy suffering from childhood trauma. The wounds are so deep that it is difficult to heal them with will power . The loneliness, helplessness, anxiety, nightmares, depression is expressed in the form of anger, stoicness, ruthless , reclusive behaviour . A person trying to be brave his whole life for the sake of others( brother). And having not a single person to fall to for support, hope,love,kindness. He has not witnessed these emotions. Whatever he did was him being brave in adversity. But during the process he forgot about himself. He needed to grieve , forgive , recover but he never had the time as life took its toll on him. Someone needed to tell him that he has come a long way in life . And only a person with willpower and determination could have done so. He could have easily been a drug addict lying in streets but he had resilience. But the thing with post traumatic stress disorder is that willpower can't heal it. It needs treatment, it needs love , it needs grieving and letting go, it also needs time. When seher asked him about his childhood he said he did not have time for such things. I could feel the pain on his face. And when he started hurting himself he did not want the anger and bitterness to come out so he hurt himself. At that point you can see the wound is so deep. That you feel for him. Childhood trauma is real. Hope seher sees it and we can see a beautiful story of healing and of love.
