When I was 26 years old I was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Eccrine Porocarcinoma, the doctor's said there were no cure and no treatment. I would lose my limb and I had one year three if lucky. I will be 47 tomorrow, with all my limbs and feeling good. They call me a walking miracle

My Mom passed away 20yrs ago Sept past. Her legacy still ripples through our family. We are a family of devotions, prayer, family meals, etc. God is foremost in our lives and our children (31 and 33yrs old) are demonstrating the legacy we've passed down. I get a charge out of Priscilla - she's so candid - and I thank God for it - that sometimes her teenage boys just don't want to participate that they'd rather be on the electronics. Well, we are raising our oldest grandson who is 13 now. He's that way! Totally different than my two (who were day and night). But having said that I want to say this - you've encouraged me to keep going with him even though I want to throw my hands up in the air and say "I'm done!" He is too important to God and to me to just give up. I'm glad my Mother never gave up on me. She prayed (without knowing) me through molestations, and rape. Without her prayers, where would I be? Only God knows. Both my parents are gone now and even though it's over 20 yrs, I still miss them. Who doesn't miss that unconditional love when it's no longer there? I pray God will fill the void and help you to press on. May He fill your hearts with overwhelming joy for the legacy your Mom left you. Be strong - don't be weary in well doing. The reward is almost in reach!

I have smaller children so I relate with the John John family after watching his videos have learned the table bible study ( which he learned from his daddy) now I do that with my kids. Such a wonderful family who live legacy to generations!

I started praying all together in a circle with my kids several times a night.. I started sharing scriptures more with my family along with just teaching them things about the Bible. My older kids weren’t raised in church so when I gave my life to church they where almost grown but I didn’t care I just started doing it... my oldest son gave me a hard time but I kept sharing Christ and doing what I had mentioned and now we can talk for hours on the phone about the Word of God, who would have known.. God sent him a spiritual mentor in his life and all those seeds that God had me plant even tho he didn’t want to hear it God is watering those seeds... So I’m grateful that I didn’t let time discourage me and I kept going.. All the Glory Belongs to God !!

I agree that there is no cooking like Mama's cooking. I taught my Sons and daughter to cook also, and yes one of then is a millenial. Love my crockpot! and yes I too have made ribs and they come out sooo juicy and tender. No, can chicken can't do, LOL. I prefer fresh. OMG, licking of the bowl. I remember doing this with the kids. Hi ladies thanks so much for these conversations it helps me so so much. Praise God for you all. Our children does not enjoy cooking with me but they keep me company. So while I cook they look and joke around in the kitchen with me. We don't have a dinner table to sit together but we do eat together and talk over dinner.
