What the hell are you talking about? The french voice acting (and the translation itself) on the whole Blood Omen/LoK series is simply one of the best, especially the voices of Kain and Raziel. Not everyone likes or wants to play a game in english, whether you like it or not. Besides, there's no need to come here and write a pointless comment if you don't like it...

Yo hablo español, pero me gustó la versión en francés, es muy buena. He estado biendo las diferentes versiones de soul reaver en diferentes idiomas y la versión francesa no se queda atrás respecto a la calidad de las voces. Gracias por subirlo. Un saludo amigo :)

Vraiment du bon boulot. Je suis entrain de refaire le jeu mais en anglais et parfois certains termes m'échappent. Donc je viens ici et me refais les cinématiques pour être sûr. ^^ Encore merci.

Celui qui fait Raziel c’est le doubleur de Kevin Costner je crois ! je me souviens j'y ai joué sur PC à l'époque, c'était trop cool !

So translation IS legitimate and dubbing specifically allows foreign watchers to approach the original feeling of the work while being from another country. Subtitling just isn't the same: it rightfully protects the original performance of the actors or voice actors, but it adds a different media (writing) and stops the spectator from completely focusing on image and sound.

Translation is a very important thing, it allows frequent and energetic cultural exchange between countries while preserving said cultures. Language is a sensitive and complicated thing, you know - while it may be more "practical" to just stick to one language for the entire world, it would represent a colossal intellectual loss. Sorry, but the italian dubbing is the best one... respect for the french. However, in Blood Omen there is only one actor dubbing, and if the Blood Omen's one is an official translation, it isn't done very well...

@@rkrim2008 Not any voice over and translation in the world will be able to replace the original Raziel voice acting - Michael Bell is a legend in this industry, and gave soul to the character of Raziel. I don't care that the translation was decent, it is very far from the depth and complexity of the original.

@@femtokun Ahem, Bernard Lanneau has 3 time the voxography of Michael, he's been working EVERYWHERE for nearly 50 years, he's been on Galerian, Medievil, Halo, Death stranding, The witcher... He's been dubbing Baldwin and Kosner on 65 movies.... So yeah basicaly, you don't have a single clue about the Depth and complexity of French, and so you're unable to appreciate the way his voice acting turned the whole game into a piece of poetry... No debate here, a whole generation of French gamer got his voice stuck in their mind since the intro of the first soul reaver Maybe you should start french so you'll discover how deeper this language is able to go compared to english ( Then you'll be able to appreciate Edgard Allan Poe translated by Charles Baudelaire, and that's beautiful, cause they both are the same but different, same here :) ) PS : Never said Michael did bad work, in case you'd still try to compare what you shouldn't, they just both did great work
