True the biggest work to the series is I being used for other series ideas instead of it's own The animus lore is so broken that it doesn't even work. We used to synchronized for getting the memories to continue otherwise we could "fast forward" to the end and find the key information Now it's choices and broke the animus open which means we should be able to skip. Likewise modern day is optional which is like what's the point of the past stories, no cohesion Things that need fixes Modern day segments Choices needed to be scrapped Romances scrapped (their just one night stands so they barely count anyway) Combat shouldn't take forever with dmg sponges(furi gets it) Balance to high and low profile One playstyle (it's in the series title) Rpg needs to not be a endless grind (master xp, different color armor, max level keeps changing, grind) Less is more, smaller world, easier to climb buildings, focus on actual parkour than this climb anything mess. Full sync missions, stealth missions with failure desync, and more

Before you assume that I fully support Ubisoft and that I am willing to be tricked by this company, I am absolutely convinced that they only showed the Leap of Faith because this iconic feature is easier to sell. That being said: For logical reasons, it's not completely absurd that Darius performs the Leap of Faith. Jumping down from somewhere has certainly been done a few times, even before it became a hallmark of the Brotherhood. Throughout history, there have been ideas that have not been successful for a while, until, a few years or even decades later, they were taken up again and only then were they able to establish themselves! Inventions are a good example. Keyword: Charles Babbage and his Analitical Engine. So it is quite possible that Darius already had the same ideas about the brotherhood as Bayeks, hundreds of years after him, but these ideas could not assert themselves as Bayeks did after him. Possibly Bayek's father had been taught the Leap of Faith by Darius' descendants. It became an emotional moment because Ubisoft wanted to make the story of Origin emotional. But anyway, I'd like to mention it again: I'm well aware that Ubisoft didn't put too much thought into the Lore itself, and just inserted it because they thought it would sell better.

Did anyone else avoid doing the leap of faith when jumping from viewpoints. I climbed down. I refuse to do it because they aren't Assassin's and the leap of faith is an Assassin trait. Meant to show courage and death. Once the Leap of Faith is performed by an Assassin they no longer walk as the person before but as the person they now become (Assassin). Doing it means you're no longer afraid of death and show immense courage in the process. It's a right of passage to anyone entering the Assassin Brotherhood. Those who show special abilities like Eagle Vision are taught the ways of an Assassin. Origins is the birth of Assassin's so technically a leap of faith or any other Brotherhood Sacrifice shouldn't hapoen in Odyssey. Devs should of taken the move out of Odyssey.

I know I'm late but for me the reason why Ezio, Edward and Arno can do it is because they got taught beforehand. Ezio could have learned it from Federico who learned it from his father, and Arno could have learned from Elise who was being trained to be a Templar (by this point in time I'm assuming at least *some* templars learned it, maybe to infiltrate the Assassins or maybe they were former Assassin themselves). As for Edward he seems to be pretty good at catching on new techniques (as we see during his "demonstration" with the Templars) and he does see Duncan perform a leap of faith so it's totally possible that he just saw it, learned it and used it when it was useful. It doesn't matter anyway, everything is fucked.

Make them both jump differently and change the posture a bit. It could be that this jump became more popular throughout history and Bayek's father adapted a form of that jump which is identical to the leap. The jump serves it's purpose in Odyssey and has weight from Origins. These are so basic stuff, don't know how someone can fuck up so bad.

Warren Vidic states in AC1, why birds know where to migrate in the winter. It's because its in their DNA.. Just because Bayek teaches it, doesn't mean it's not coded in Izu DNA humans to do naturally.. Because that's what the assassins did before hand. And they just do it. Because it feels right. To say Bayek taught it, doesn't mean it was HIS thing. Bayek was taught by HIS dad first.. Who was probably taught by his grandfather.. Darius probably imprinted the muscle memory of such skills to Kassandra, who's DNA carried it on to Bayeks bloodline. To say orgins is the start of all skill sets is wrong. Because who taught Eve how to jump around like that after stealing the first apple? It's just izu abilities.

I liked this DLC, and I really liked Kassandra having a baby because that is the direction I was going. I really wanted her and Darius’ son to get together from the start, and when they did, I was psyched because I thought MY decisions drove it there. I honestly believed that if I didn’t stop them from leaving, there would be an alternate ending where there is no family and Kass stays a mercenary. But when I realized it was mandatory, that ruined the whole thing for me. Now I am disappointed. It worked out in my play through by chance, but I feel sorry for everyone who got screwed over with that ending.
@LeonardBillsMcGoatPryor5 жыл бұрын
Hey, LazerzZ, I'm completely with you on the ending for Episode 2. As much as I'm personally enjoying Odyssey, even I also thought it was a complete bullshit outcome. Why bother giving us the option of saying goodbye to Darius and Natakas if they're just going to stay and live with Kassandra anyways? That means there was no point in Natakas getting on board the boat and leaving that note for her in the house. At least with the other choice of asking them to stay, it has the ending make sense in context. That, I can get behind. But the fact that it happens anyways DESPITE choosing to say goodbye to them beforehand? What was even the point of giving us the choice? It was just utterly disappointing, and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I know it seems like a stupid excuse but I don't think Darius actually met the disguised Amorges so that might be why Darius didn't recognise him. And as for the child, well, it could just be to continue a strong hybrid bloodline, like Myrrine and Pythagoras. There might not have been any actual affection, it's just to continue the bloodline.

The way I talked myself into understanding the leap of faith for Cassandra was that Layla was doing it out of habit being that she was controlling the actions through the animus, but Darius makes no sense now.
@ralcogaming76745 жыл бұрын
Well allow me to destroy your justification (sorry) the animus doesn't give you control it let's you watch the memories as they were lived. The player has control because that's for gameplay purposes. But the one in the animus does not. (And I know everyone hates it, but much like oddessy it's cannon) in the movie it's clearly stated "you can't change anything" meaning you are not in control. It's like watching a movie through the eyes of someone from the past.

Good point, good video. Ubisoft has gone so off the rails with ac they made the whole thing just not believable.. idc it is a game before the period of origins so that basically doesn’t make it an AC because the lore goes back to the day one of humankind so they could have explained so much of what was going on with the first civilization or the contrary go deeper with the mystery and give hints on whats to come since they killed minerva irl, especially since the protagonist fucking gathers more then 7 yes 7 pieces of eden in this game... so so bad writing made almost out of lack of imagination. Then the whole decision system gives you the whole feeling again and you don’t even get clear choices its more like say something cool, do the good thing, do the bad thing... how is that gonna lead me to clues of how to save my family?? The decision system is complete rubish after you make a decision about nikolaos, because of he dies it feels to me that no one should be able to show sense to stentor and make him not fight you towards the end of the game but the rest.. oh god .. spare the bullshit with kleon, you just get to do some missions for kleon so that when they unveil him as a cultist you’re supposed to go like omg kleon no.. not even the actor seems surprised which is just bad acting but the worse is that it is clear from the very beginning kleon is a cultist and he is the bad guy between perikles and him . Fix it or leave it ubisoft this was a great fun overall but its just leading to nothing imo.. hardcore fans will stick to black flag and what was before

@Andrew-fq7pu5 жыл бұрын
They had an out. Spartans were very big on breeding, no matter what your other romantic choices were. If you didn't breed, you were banished. My Kass had utter contempt for Natakas and all dialogue choices reflect that. There was no romance. There was also no out if you chose those dialogue options to explain the "romance". It just doesn't work. It would work better with Alexios, I think, because Neema is drop dead gorgeous and charismatic. Natakas is passive, weak, submissive. Neema stands up straight, he slouches and she even looks physically stronger. If you choose, like I did, to ignore every romantic dialogue option, they should have had some sort of drunken accident or contrive some compelling need to propagate the bloodline. They could have had an Isu compel Darius to drug you to get you to knock up/get knocked up by, his progeny. That would have made for some controversy and dynamic conflict between the characters. If you rejected romance, then the death in Ep 3 would be a celebration, rather than the fake mourning I had to mission through, since I wasn't sad at all that Natakas was dead. The writing, not the choices or lack thereof, is the real villain though.

This controversey is a reason why I think that Assassin's Creed games should NOT have multiple choices or multiple endings. When I'm playing a game like Assassin's Creed I want to feel like I'm along for the ride or feel like I'm watching a movie, not have a good or bad ending because I did or didn't do a specific set of tasks. I also don't like it when Ubisoft ignores the lore. I am going to go and play Assassin's Creed Origins while Ubisoft delays the release of episode 3 for another month while they get rid of any other possibly offensive content in the episode to make sure that it won't upset anyone but I'm sure Ubisoft will upset someone else because it's what Ubisoft does best.........................
