Nice fight, definitely easier with other weapons. Blade of Olympus does very little damage could use a buff.

another tip is that you can parry the red ring attacks with the blade of olumpys

A boss fight where you use the blade of olympus and never run out of rage. Nice! Seriously, I love the blade of olympus in general and I am so happy to have that thing back in this game via DLC. It may not be to everyone's taste, I know someone who doesn't use legacy since it's not his playstyle but for me blade of olympus is just happiness.

Pressing triangle brings you to the enemy like that, and you can hold it for extra damage too

Awesome build, I have a similar one but how do you get the defender’s riposte? Is it an enchantment and what does it do?

It's the from the Amulet enchantment called 'Fortified Husk Engraving'. It requires at least 510 Defense to be active, and whenever you parry attacks you have a chance to buff your next attack with a small explosion that does extra damage

I like to think that in the next Games Kratos will come back to Greece and take Blade of Olympus, and not only blade but also a power of God of War that he yielded in GoW 2 and 1. I would just love to see Giant Kratos beating the shit out of the evil Gods once again

What Gods? All of the major Olympians are dead. I dunno what happened to Aphrodite after GoW3 but I can't imagine that she'll throw hands with Kratos.

Really well done man, very fun to watch! By the way just a tip, whenever he goes up in the air to do the AoE elemental moves, if you do a charged Triangle attack you can interrupt him, it's a bit risky since his attacks comes out quickly but if you start charging as soon as he goes up you'll always interrupt him. It's very easy to do if he does the slow one with snow AoE, and i'm pretty sure it uses less rage than the Blade's projectile (not sure though)

Oh yeah! I typically use a charged projectile to disrupt the ice magic. I'll definitely have to try this once I reach him again since I'm doing another NG+ run. Thank you for the tip

Yeah, maybe BoO is not the most damaging weapon, but it DEFINITELY wins in how easy you can stagger an enemy with any hit or parry

No joke man Gna didn't have a chance clearly hrolf whatever doesn't either. I find this prolong battle scarier than ending them in a 1 to 4 hit type because it strikes as less gotta end this quick situation. As far as I'm concerned you can take more time enjoying the fight as you continue to wail on your target😅.

you have to center your entire build around rage just for the blade to do okay-ish dmg? yeah idk i think the blade is cool and all but it isnt worth it

In all fairness Hrólf just has a ton of health, same with Gna. This build hits hard against everything else. Story bosses, his Berserker champions, generic enemies, etc. Either way, I've been having a lot of fun with this build (:
