Thanks for the starmap tips, nice job :) Considering that the stars are all mapped (otherwise their names wouldn't come up) it's a pain in the ass that we can't travel to a star by selecting it then the ship auto-warping to get there. Especially if you have a home planet that you might want to return to from time to time but you're a gazillion light years away. Also not being able to find the nearest star of x star type is annoying as hell. Yes, the sheer scale of this game is incredible, the universe is enormous and I doubt anyone could discover every system, let alone every planet in a lifetime. I played the original Privateer back in 1993 when it was released, it had a more intuitive starmap than this does. Sure it was a miniscule galaxy compared to this, but I was playing it on a 386 with an amazing (for it's time) 1MB RAM, so

Oh, the Eradicator is coming! Never fear, I will take one down and devour its goodness into my sweet sweet booty…you know, the cargo container… :)

Can you daisy chain teleporters? Or do you have to make each jump at a time to get from say end to end?
@zaistarsgamingandfun3 жыл бұрын
Yea, you would have to make each teleportation jump along the way. You couldn’t say put up 4 teleported 30 LY apart and jump 120 LY in one go. You would have to jump to each one individually.
