Types of locks you'll find in an escape room. My favorite is the retina scan lock!!

what boxes do you use?

Uhhhhh, the what? I mean, it’d be pretty cool to do that with a glass eye! I’ve seen a Sherlock Holmes themed room in Winter Garden, FL where they used a rubber thumb and a fingerprint lock!

Great video =) It is very helpful for beginners, a lot of people never saw some types of locker, let alone use them . All the best wishes from Serbia

I’m getting so excited about all the possibilities in my Spanish classroom. I won a grant and now have an escape room kit. Now I’m realizing the kit wasn’t that extensive. I wish I’d watched you first and also realized the kit was overpriced. Maybe I’ll apply for another grant to add some cool extra locks and such. And I realize that my 80s diary with its little padlock and cheap gold key would work for this. But I don’t want my students to read it! LOL. You could do all kinds of things with a locking journal. Getting inspired with your content. I have written a plan after they finish their jungle Spanish novel to free the main character who will be locked in a cage I think. It will combine treasure hunt clues and puzzles and word chunks they must put together. They must have knowledge of the books for a lot of it. Feeling good. Thanks for help!

That’s amazing with your grant! And wow you know that 80’s lock is going to rock it!

That sounds incredible! What a great way to test the students’ Spanish, so engaging!

Is it good that we have like another 10,000 locks in the back?

I've just purchased a lock like your second one (the copper coloured word lock). On mine its not clear at what rotation to input the code... Where does yours take the code?

I think maybe that one is on the bottom? I'll have to recheck :) Try to keep the correct word combo the same and spin all the letters to see if it's on front or bottom...

I’ve thought about using one of the clear acrylic locks, hiding a torsion wrench and a lockpick elsewhere, and having something else start a short lockpicking tutorial video on a loop. BE A REAL LOCKPICKER TO ESCAPE!

Love that, sounds like a lot of fun!!

Yeah, I think it’s a fair puzzle for a complete novice because it’s transparent, so you can see what you’re doing. I’d never do it with an actual metal lock.

My covert companion would blow through these locks in no time.

I am disappointed in the Boom Count in this video. Rookie numbers. Let’s get those up in the next one, BOOM! (Great video thank you!)

For sure gonna work on that! 💥

Hate the cryptex - not mechanically, but immersion wise, a lot of rooms use one, and it is usually out of place, and completely unnecessary .

They’re cool if it’s like a DaVinci theme or something.

Would one be allowed to bring lockpicks and shims into an escape room. Smash through all those locks in seconds :)

@@LegacyEscapeBox legit question though. Ive never done an escape room, but I can pick and decode a lock, would this be considered cheating?
@LegacyEscapeBox4 жыл бұрын
@@markotb Good question! Should only be able to use what is in the room. Cannot usually bring your own equipment, although would be a fun concept to be a “lock breaker!”

@@LegacyEscapeBox thanks, I thought so. And Id prefer the challenge without cheating. Love your videos, I only found you this week.

That would be like a party in game where one of the characters has a skill in lockpicking. Character have it whole time, nobody knows when something gonna need unlocking :P Same principle as with being tall to grab items from above or being smart and see patterns quickly. I'd allow only handy rogue manual picks, not automatic tho.
