Never get financial advice from a lawyer - use a FINANCIAL PLANNER WHO IS A FUDICIARY - lawyers can however help set up a trust and give LEGAL advice
@Steve_3054 жыл бұрын
Quick question which financial planner do you recommend?
@IDBTitanosaurus3 жыл бұрын
I don't know about fudiciary, but Lawyers are also fiduciaries as financial planners.
@dawoodwaris2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I am a portfolio manager myself and have a couple of lottery winners as clients. Every single one of them had bad experience getting financial advice from lawyers. They are blood suckers PERIOD. Get a second citizenship, set up a fund attached to a trust in a tax haven, hire a fund manager based on their track record if you lack skills in value investing, watch your money grow and live off with dividends.

First off, I recommend you TELL NO ONE! If your sharing with family, make out a list of who gets what. Then STICK TO IT! You can't even imagine the crying and sobbing your in for as selected family members explain why they "Really deserve more"! If your young, put a big chunk of cash away for your "declining years"! At age 70, you'll be glad you did!

@Johnny Tuffnutz!! I have at least two dozen members of my "extended family", some haven't spoken to me in from 20 to over 35 years! BUT....... Should they find out I just won 100 million dollars? They would "suddenly" be in town, just passing through, and stopping in to say hello! THIS IS GUARANTEED!!!!!

@@staple55 The need for both could easily be eliminated if the lottery winner gets rid of his ego. As Mark Cuban of Shark Tank said about lottery winnings, "Don't make investments. You can put it in the bank and live comfortably." As long as you don't feed your ego by overspending.

@@andyhughes1776 It's funny hearing a winner or advisor talk about making money after winning $10M. Making money is not the mission--protecting one's principal & establishing income are. #1 reason why winners go broke in seven years.

Even the lottery officials tell you to sign your ticket. Hmmm I guess not all legal advice is good advice.😄
@donalexander59352 жыл бұрын
Thats so lottery officials will have you in the palm of there hands in case you try to keep your idenity hidden. Don't sign the ticket like this guy said, because you waive your rights to keep your idenity hidden. And then when time comes to claim, you have set up a trust fund. Then your lawyer can claim it under the trust name and not yours!
@christopherbeddoe4062 жыл бұрын
In some states you can remain anonymous by setting up a blind trust and setting the trust up as the owner of the ticket. If your state doesn't allow that you should just sign the ticket as soon as you buy it.
@John-mu2js2 жыл бұрын
He said that if you want to put it in someone else's name or a trust. If it's going to be you then sign the ticket when you buy it. Listen
@tarag72922 жыл бұрын
@@John-mu2js If you put it in the trust, then it is the trust claiming the prize, not the person. And eve if a person still has to come forward, claiming through a trust would still allow the winner's info (such as address and telephone number) to be confidential.
