I have a question about Autonomy During my LPN interview I was asked your resident needs to sent to the hospital as he needs amputation/ feet treatment( exactly I don't remember) and resident has refused to go to the hospital what will you do? My answer was: Firstly I will respect his decision as he doesnot want to go but before / after that I will try to explain the need to go the hospital if he allows me to discuss further. Explaining consequences , Informing SDM and RN for further process. But o will respect his decision of he doesn't want to go.
