Throughout American history, the Justices of the nation’s highest court have come together to deliberate legal matters… but they have also found time to break bread. Since the early 19th century when they took all their meals together while living in a boarding house, the Justices have continued to reinforce cordiality and cooperation through shared food traditions, such as eating lunch together on Court and Conference days.
Join U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor and the Curator of the Supreme Court, Catherine E. Fitts, in a conversation moderated by Clare Cushman, Director of Publications of the Supreme Court Historical Society, as they explore the unique food traditions of the Supreme Court.

I would like to thank everyone that participated in this event. I enjoyed learning new information about the Justices, both past and present. I feel it helps the public relate more with the Justices whose decisions impacts the lives of Americans. I wish the public was able to view the Supreme Court on C-SPAN. It's wonderful to watch the congress and senate debate and vote on issues but I think that it would be amazing to watch the Justices in action. I wanted to just say that I really enjoyed to light hearted topic "Food Traditions" and thought that Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor were delightful. I found their stories and answers interesting, funny, and I appreciate them sharing a part of their life with the public. I hope to see more of the Justices in the future. God bless....

Hi I would have to of loved to meet Justice Sonia Sotomayor because she inspires people with any condition to follow their dreams to do what they want but um, So but sadly Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died of Cancer complications which means that it was growing in side her but then later had a some hard time with it's growth so it caused her to die, So do you all think that that is painful a little bit so yeah I would really love to meet Justice Sonia Sotomayor do you all think so too?
