Hello there, great tutorial! Had a question, so I am on laptop and under Monitors, it shows me integrated monitors only (no generic pnp monitors since I do not use any external monitors) so is it safe to disable it? Will my screen turn black or continue working as shown in your video? If it helps, I have a dedicated gpu(gtx 1070). Never really tried this so don't really have much knowledge so any help will be appreciated! Much love.

bester Mann! die Methode von Tenz ist total nervig, da man es bei jedem Neustart neu einstellen muss. Deine Methode sollte eigentlich auch kein delay hinzufügen, da man ja im Fullscreen spielt und nicht windowed oder täusche ich mich da? Werde ich heute mal ausprobieren. Vielen Dank!

Tatsächlich scheint das Setting nichts so wirklich zu beeinflussen. Habe jetzt eine Woche lang true streched gespielt mit nem 2. Monitor auf 1080p nebendran und hatte keinerlei issues. Du musst aber beide disablen, sonst zieht sich Val automatisch auf den zweiten Monitor

It shouldn't matter (it should work), I haven't tried it on a laptop tho. Obv it also depends on the gpu of ur laptop, but if you find out how to set a different custom res it should be working the same way

On a laptop, the image is always drawn on the integrated video card, even if the discrete one is used, you need to make the same settings through the Intel HD application, or create a custom resolution according to the guide from the video using the Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) program, and then use it not in the NVIDIA card settings but using the Windows settings, for me everything worked this way. What should I do if I change the resolution, and when I change it for 2 seconds, the monitor turns off and returns to the native 1920x1080 with a message that changes have been made and I want to accept them, even though they have not changed? for a given resolution, e.g. 1440x1080? How to fix it so that I can change it normally to any resolution?

Never encountered that before. I'd try trying stuff out to see if it works. Like, have you clicked "accept" before? Also, technically 1440x1080 is too streched for this method, but that doesnt prevent you from setting it as your desktop res usually

Weiß nicht wie genau das bei AMD funktioniert, aber du musst einfach schauen, dass du deinen Bildschirm auf eine Res setzt bei der X/Y > 1,45 also z.b. 1566/1080 = 1,45 Ansonsten musst du noch darauf achten, dass auch die richtige Refreshrate ausgewählt hast

Set it to “fill” ingame and use a res with an x to y ratio of 1.45 or higher. Also make sure you have set it to “full screen” under “Desktop Size and Position”

English: I have a question I have managed and play on my 1440p monitor with the 1568x1080 resolution in Valorant for stretched My problem is that with my 165 Hz monitor I only have 144Hz in Valorant with the resolution but at 1440p and 1920x1080p I have 165 Hz and this 20fps I notice that these are seriously missing. You need to properly set the hz number in your custom res as well(when you create it, you can set a hz number). For me it was default at 165hz, but i think thats only because I set that up before at some point.

idk how amd software works, but you just need to set your desktop res in it, like you would on nvidia (with 1.45 ratio between x and y and with highest refreshrate) and you need to make sure your desktop gets streched and doesnt have blackbars. Other than that its the same for both. You can just google for a guide on how to set streched desktop res with amd or how to do a custom res for amd and it should work out

if you do it in the nvidia settings, it should work. Other than double checking that you have the right amount of hz selected in the tab where you create your res, I can't really help. One thing I could think of, but am not sure if it matters is, in the settings for "Desktopposition and Size" you need to select fit to screen as well (2nd Option).

Afaik, you can’t get a res equivalent/close to 1280x1024 bc the ratio is getting too low. Mistic tried out a lot of different resolutions and made a list with ones that work on twitter tho. You can check that out and find the one that is the closest to the one you would like to use, but generally the ones that work won’t strech the game as wide as you could with the method of tenz (4:3 is already to wide ratio wise (1.333))
