Raising this topic right now seems pretty futile. The society still has people doing female foeticide, removing the ban just makes things a lot easier for them. A good proportion of our society cant afford to go abroad for a gender determination test and those who can usually don't indulge in such practices since money isn't a problem for them. Moreover, why should doctors not be penalised? Any law without provision for punishment is simply toothless & spineless .
