I feel like the producers of the show missed the whole point of Elle Woods while the girls actually found it. Her whole character was about positivity, helping others and sisterhood. Elle was never a competitive person, in a sense that she never tried to reach to the top by taking others down, she just worked hard and put this positive beautiful loving energy out in the world and she would get results for it. And these girls were SO MUCH like her. If the producers were just a bit smarter, they could have turn the show into how all these amazing very different women were coming together and showing so many different layers of the Elle wood's character and how this made it hard for judges to go with which one is the most Elle and right for the show instead of trying to make unnecessary drama and all.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are therapists that specialize in reality television trauma in 2020. It is horrific how the "talent" is treated on these shows. Sadly, these girls seem to be greatly affected, and they were on one of the better productions. There are countless kids that were horribly abused and exploited while under the thumb of TLC. The Duggar kids are still being victimized today. I hope everyone victimized by these corporations can get together to sue for earnings/damages and change laws to prevent people from being victimized in the first place.

I am also very interested in this topic. I have been interviewing other people who were on reality TV and experienced trauma from it, after being inspired by these women. On my slumber party podcast I talk to Lindsay Pearce about Glee Project, Brita Filter about Drag Race and Diana Degarmo about American Idol. All very fascinating and hoping people will see these interviews and realize anything seen on reality TV does not encapsulate everything about a person. Especially the wonderful Cassie S!!

She was sooo nice. Lauren was Elle that night, who had been my daughter’s favorite on the show. We waited by the stage door after the show. When Rhiannon came out she came right over to my daughter to ask her how she had enjoyed the show. She made her feel so special. Then she took her over to meet Lauren. I was a top fan on the MTV forum they mentioned and was actually supportive and nice. I remember Autumn was one of the very few who left me a comment WITHOUT me commenting first. Such a freaking sweetheart! They are right reality tv is not reality at all, I felt bad for them (particularly Cassie S) it’s awesome to see they’ve found some healing

1:51:00 aw I’m glad Cassie and Lindsey got asked a question because they basically did nothing for an hour lol

for them this show wasnt a great experience because Lindsey had talent but she got cut in like the first few episodes and then Mtv treated Cassie S so dirty that everyone hated her and she will never forgive the producers for that. and now Cassie S is a successful broadway actor. she was in Something Rotten and Matilda

it's so unfortunate that the stock market crash happened when it happened- I feel like that was the nail in legally blonde's coffin- I wish they could have had a longer run, especially with Bailey at the helm.
