Hi, Cave Johnson here, welcome to Aperture science, where you, bronze winning athlete, astronaut, etc., will be subject to painful testing. I know. Thrilling. Anywho, at the moment a few tests are out of commission, so you will be testing the Combustion Powered Aperture Locomotive and Propulsion limb implants. The eggheads downstairs call them CP-ALPs. Basically imagine rockets, right? Grafted into and or onto your legs. That is what you will be testing here shortly. As you take a quick look you may notice the very workings of the implant coming out of your legs like you just tricked out your whip. Yeah, looks disgusting, that's what I said. But don't worry, I love seeing the grotesque struggle. Now, something to note about those implants. When I pitched the idea, the eggheads said "oh, well, you need to provide proper stress or tension relief, so the test subject doesn't get their femur blown straight into their sternum from the thrust of these jets". You wanna know what I said? I said it would make for a good challenge. Who needs legs? Legs are overrated! So here's what I have planned. You see a platform you need to reach? Well each implant is activated by its own glove so you can break your legs accordingly. So if you ever need to reach a high place, just shatter your leg with a force equal to ten sticks of dynamite, and you'll be fine. Run out of leg to break? Just crawl. The point of these tests is to figure out how many times it is physically possible to escape a room by only breaking your own legs, as well as testing the resolve and will to live in those who have to constantly shatter their legs and let their body limply land where they hope to end up, before they eventually, or never, reach the end of our rigorous testing.
