Kaithi was a solo movie with an open end. Vikram was inspired by an old movie character (Vikram played by same character ) with some character crossover from Kaithi Leo was another standalone movie with some crossover characters. IMO Parthipan was well developed character than Leo.

Vikram 1986 was the first tamil spy film ever made. It was an average hit during that time. But Lokesh kanagaraj the director of this film is a huge fan of kamal hassan and he wanted to see kamal reprise that role again. He discussed a lot of ideas with kamal hassan but kamal told him an idea which was the first story idea that he wrote for Vikram 1986 that the producers were scared to do. Lokesh took that idea and made this movie in his own style. If you notice Vikram while outsmarting santhanam sings a few lines which is actually Vikram's 1986 theme song. It was a meta moment for the fans.

Leo is a character building film.2nd half is a third person narrative of leo's past.Lokesh says in an interview that leo's past is narrated by a third individual in his perspective.So there by we can assume that leo is not the person we are thinking.I think there will be a 2nd part of the movie for leo.Everything will be revealed in either leo 2 or upcoming LCU movies.You should watch the interview.But I think it does not have any subtitles.Anyway I loved your reaction.Keep us entertaining....
