I hope one day the NC will do Top 11 Best/Worst Legend of Korra episodes as a counterpart to the Best/Worst Avatar episodes! I'd love to see what the top picks would be for best and worst. Looking back at the first season, I'm not very fond of the love triangles but love the technology and the villain, Book 2 I was glad to see more of the spirits but learning about the first avatar was the icing on the cake for me. I think the show gets better with Book 3 and 4.

@@crazykid6887 I think the show is actually decent. There is a part of me that thinks Nickelodeon didn't really just let the creators decide how long the stories would be. The seasons all could've used at least 5 more episodes to make character development more cohesive for the entire show and then the overall ending would've been close to if not entirely on par with Avatar:The Last Airbender.

I think Korra's personality regressing in the 1st 1/2 of B2 is 1 of the main complaints, but there's a very good reason why it regresses, and it's one of those hidden genius things. It took me a while to see it, though. Anyway, the reason why her personality regressed is bec/ she didn't learn anything from B1 bec/ Aang gave her her bending back. So, like they said, she didn't have to live with it. So my problem isn't that they regressed her personality, it's that they didn't make it clear why it regressed. As much as I love this show, it's main problem is not properly showing these sorts of things so that the audience understands, although this really only happens in B1 and 2. Like when she gets airbending out of nowhere. Bec/ they didn't really explain it, it felt like a deus ex machina. It wasn't, but that's a different story. Anyway, that's been on my mind for a while and I just wanted to share it.
@theboxghost147 жыл бұрын
I think Korra made the right choice, but she could've worded it a lot more nicely. And I guess the reason for her choice was a little off as well. The best thing in that situation probably would've been saying "The spirits are a bigger concern right now. I'll learn more air-bending after this is taken care of." instead of a straight-up "You're not my teacher any more."

Oh. They kind of said the same thing later in the video. Whoops.

I know I'm about five months late on this, but I'm actually impressed that Korra provoked this kind of reaction out of these two. I'm impressed because growth is easy to do in shows, but showing what it's actually like to be an angry teen and not knowing how to react to people, how to deal with them in an adult fashion yet, now that's hard. Korra was needlessly harsh with Tenzin, not because she hasn't really grown, but because she's still growing. It's that perpetual fight with what you were and what you want to be, you don't always get it right, and sometimes what people say in a perfectly reasonable fashion can set you off even more than if they were up in your face about it. It's the last of the hormones taking their final swing at the mind before we finally settle down into our 20s (the point when we actually stop 'growing up' biologically and start 'growing old'). I'm genuinely glad that Korra doesn't make as much sense as she should, because she didn't make sense to herself, let alone to others. It's a great slice of what it's like growing up with more talent and ability than you should really have and not knowing where that will take you, especially when you're having to be taught by people that you honestly know don't understand what that's like. So, watching this reaction from the brothers here, it's exactly what I wanted to see.

+Nick Evans I'm perfectly fine with Season 2, there's stuff that's not good in it definitely, I hate those two completely inept cops and how out of the situation Chief Beifong is. The villain is bland, can't argue but I think the makers were aware of that, there are multiple villains in this season and the other villains are fantastic, Varrik is fun as hell and Vatu is brilliantly threatening. Unalaq is just there to have someone to fight, and the fights are absolutely brilliant. As for the giant issue with everyone in Korra, I think everyone just misses the point. Korra is a bad avatar to begin with. Season 1 (without doubt still my favourite season.) is crucial because we are aware that Korra may be a bad avatar, (let's face it the first season all she really did was beat up people for the most part.) but she is still a good person, we like the person she is. Season 2 it's obvious that her identity is getting wrapped up in being the avatar, and she doesn't really know how to be the avatar. With Aang you knew straight away he'd be a perfect avatar. I think it's a lot more interesting to have a bad avatar. Oh and all that stuff with the 'Movers' and the propaganda was absolutely genius. These creators are far too smart for Nickelodeon.

Aang's approach to a problem: Have you tried talking about it? Have you asked anyone who knows about it better, in this world or in the spirit one? Have you tried meditating? Korra's approach: Have you tried punching it? Have you tried bending elements at it?

I actually didn't think Unalog was going to be the villain. I thought he was going to be a very strict and harsh teacher. Also kind of an embodiment of the spirits and like those characters that are respectable but still unlikable. I had kinda hoped he would be stricter with Korra because I thought Tenzin was a little too soft with her in season 1. Korra is the type that recognizes only power and she'll only listen to those that are just as forceful as she is. It would have been an interesting to see her going through that. That scene with Tenzin could have been easily fixed though. By making her sad as well, just a shot of her looking regretful and like she's going to miss Tenzin would have greatly helped.

...I thought she was mad at Tenzen because she found out that both he and her father were lying about Aang wanting them to keep her secluded?

She was. "I'm tired of listening to you! Both of you! You keep me LOCKED UP, telling me you know what's best, but both of you were powerless during a spirit attack. I think it's time I had a new teacher." I don't care what anyone says, Korra's reasoning here is not too far off from what i would think.

Gamelover254 I don’t think so. Korra seems to react without displaying concern or empathy to others, i.e she didn’t ask why they kept her secluded. I do believe it is done on purpose though as it is a great reflection of the generation they are targeting. If you fall into that age group you would be an example; mentioning ‘I don’t care what anyone says’.

If Dante Basco saw his Last airbender vlogs before Korra went into production, maybe some of his ideas DID end up in the final cut. And it's possible, the two are friendly and all.

Being an ass-hole isn't justified. Even if she didn't know, they still did what was best of her and Tenzin had been nothing but helpful to her the whole of Book 1.

Oh hay that thing about you being imprisoned in a fortress of ice, cut off from society, on the orders of the old avatar, that was a lie so you wouldn't hate us; And now we the ones who gave the order that completely betrayed the trust you had in us(which was founded on a lie) are now trying to control you and separate you from someone that... (A. is member of your family. (B. we all admitted is proficient in a skill you 'Need' to know that he is blatantly more qualified to teach. (C. can teach in a place that needs that skill used immediately. (D. has been up front to the point of rudeness uncaring if his words paint him in an unpleasant light. and lies are a big issue here (E. you won't even give a good reason why you don't trust him making it seem like a petty grudge or a control issue.
@TobiClinicallyInsane8 жыл бұрын
These are reasons to be actively hostile to someone, Tenzin's actions in book one gave him enough leeway combined with quite a bit of restraint(and trust in someone she had every right not to) on Korras part, that he got away with mild rudeness and distrust.
@CJ-fz9fq8 жыл бұрын
TobiClinicallyInsane I agree she should of been told why she was kept isolated (for a good reason), but after all that Tenzin's done for her, being hurtful wasn't called for.
@TobiClinicallyInsane8 жыл бұрын
It is the people we trust the most whose betrayals hurt the worst and she seemed to trust Tenzin more than her father, and yet was a lot less hostile to Tenzin. Tenzin was leaving the next day already for his family vacation, and she only said there 'training' was at an end(which it was, the next teacher she had after her uncle was Janora).

+Boglenight When did they say where bending came from? They described the creatures that embodied the abilities but never where bending and the avatar came from.
@boglenight15519 жыл бұрын
Arron Litchfield They say certain creatures were the original benders, and they say Oma and Shu were the first earthbenders and that they learnt from the badgermoles. The Air Nomad's tattoos originated from the the mark on the Air Bison heads and Air Bison are called the original air benders.... it takes some powerful logicbending to tie all that to the origin story in Korra.
@18thskaven9 жыл бұрын
+Boglenight The original benders yes, just because the turtles gave people the powers doesn't mean that the animals weren't still original. The Lionturtles could energy bend, not actually bend any elements themselves. Look carefully at what you want to clearly criticise. Did you completely miss the part where Wan was practising Firebending with the dragons to increase his skill and understanding? You obviously did.
