Man, I love this song!! I've always been a bigger fan of the music of Kyrandia 1 and 2 but this one's so awesome!!

Frank Klepacki is basically the god of video games music.

He's certainly in that pantheon. I think Tim Follin, Chris Huelsbeck, and Koji Kondo are at least his equals, though ;)

I think David Wise is more deserving of that position.

By far my favorite song of K3 ! I even bought a JV1080 (rompler) to get that 90's sound... Do I use it ? no. But I'm glad it's there somewhere in my studio...
@Meteorotaki7 жыл бұрын
Do you need some kind of expansion cards to get the sounds that were used in Kyrandia soundtrack ? I see the JV1080 is easy to find at a low price
@prinzbach7 жыл бұрын
Possible... There's a ton of cards out there for the SR-JV and people tend to agree that owning them is a "must".. To be honest I bought mine out of pure nostalgia and barely use it for it's "realistic" sounds but more as an amazing pad machine ! Also... I may have been fast to assume that Franc Klepacki used ONLY a JV. Here's a list of it's gear : facebook.com/notes/frank-klepacki/the-gear-i-used-to-compose-westwood-studios-games/10153478025859603/

westwood never would have guessed that someone would actually prefer general midi to this (which is still midi, its just rendered to audio first)
@KainXVIII8 жыл бұрын
+teddy d (songsmadeforyou) actually its not if you watch credits.

KainXVIII you mean cause they're playing bongo and guitar? :)
@KainXVIII8 жыл бұрын
+teddy d (songsmadeforyou) and music sounds too good to be midi rendered, but i'm not insist, just my opinion =)
@songsmadeforyou8 жыл бұрын
it does sound good! midi can be played through high quality samples though, for example the soundtrack to Inception by Hanz Zimmer is midi
@KainXVIII8 жыл бұрын
+teddy d (songsmadeforyou) c'mon, you know there is a big difference between music played through good soundcard (like Roland Sound Canvas) and than digitized to cd-audio (like in Hexen) and Kyrandia 3 ost.
