Post dumb Master Course shenanigans trolling me, I'm still keeping the levels I grinded out for Vahn & friends in the process. Means I don't need to devote a slot for Life Armbands in the final boss fight.
Speaking of said final boss fight, the crew finds out that Cort fused with Juggernaut. When Noa tries to attempt talking some sense into him, she gets X from Command Mission'd...which is a fancy way of saying she took a blast of energy to the chest and got knocked back. Christ, she could literally challenge X & Zero from said game for most times one's ass got kicked in cutscenes right now, heh.
Enough about that though. The team helps Noa up and the final battle commences.
The Juggernaut fused Cort gets a long introduction that would make any PSX era FF summon jealous in how long it takes to finish. What do you get for this? A boss that's literally no different than what you've dealt with up to this point. Normal attack combo + some random AoE attack the damned fool never used. There's also Ultra Charge which indicates he's gonna fire off Final Crisis the next turn. So long as you spirit when Ultra Charge goes off, you'll be just fine and can heal afterwards.
Vahn, surprisingly, takes up the mantle of healer for this fight. Noa gets to bust out her Miracle Art every turn and do 6k+ damage while Gala FINALLY gets a chance to throw out his own Miracle Art a few times. He doesn't hit nearly as hard as Noa and can't fire it off every turn like her, but still, 5k per use is not bad at all.
Once Cort kicks off, the ending sequences begin. I won't bother spoiling them, but you do get to choose a dialogue option at one point that will slightly change the ending.
With that, this game comes to a close. Took much longer than I wanted due to real life keeping me busy most of the time during the week, but it's done and that's always a good sign. What comes next? We shall see.
Until next time!
