The top guy at my server tried every single class to see which one was better, he tried to make it fair by switching pals/skills corresponding to each class and used full global atk on the prayer statue. The results were prophet on #1 and plume monarch on #4 for dmg, why do you think this was?

New event rewards most likely. Game started out with archer being the best but it's been going back and forth between archer and mage with new content. It's not hard to swap around though so do what works best for you

cos prophet stun n regen skill much faster = more skill n heal = longer surviving during battle = more dmg

The prophet somewhat can last longer, and with the class skills that reduces skill cooldown, it can place even more attacks. Probably the best Mage class. It's kinda an all-rounder compared to Warbringer (excels in PVP) or Plume Monarch (excels in PVE).

Best thing to do for lower levels is follow the guide and use the pals low tier versions if they have one. Easiest build for that is mage

You could buy it cheap with real money (1-5USD if I remember) early on in the game. Right now, you need to spend 20 during the current rebate event to unlock it.
