A couple of things to note: don't have only 1-2 elite units in an army, as that is when they tend to get destroyed in autoresolve. Heroes can get the Hephaestus upgrades as well. Achilles army should be filled with melee based units for the Outraged buffs. As for second army, a missile unit only army.

Really loved this man thank you, helped me get my foot in the door on legendary on this game after not playing it since I did a couple veteran campaigns when it came out. This guide helped me get my first Homeric Victory on Legendary. 110 turns. Your strategy of toying with the Ellopians for a while rather than wiping them out on turn 1 or 2 like I usually do seems to prevent the AI from randomly dog piling you on turn 15-20. Also, when sneaking into settlements don't run on the walls. If you drop them inside right away they don't get spotted as easily.

Alright so this is a very different approach to this campaign than I usually take and yours definitely makes more sense . That stack of light swordsmen is something I would have never thought about . Also you can actually fight seige battles without worrying much about army losses with that army . The intresting part is, all the battles you are auto resolving are usually the ones I am forced to fight to avoid loosing expensive units in autoresolve . Similarly I just lay seige and sit around walled cities most of the times , again to avoid losses , but that light swords army enables you to be alot less hesitant while hitting them on the same turn . I love it

The key point is too stat boost your units as much as possible in early game through unit rank upgrades, hero skills, gods, etc. that way, autoresolve becomes more favorable for you :)

Let me confess, phithia is the only dannan faction I have never finished a campaign with ( except Argos and salamis ofc) For one reason or another I just couldn't end it. I think I needed this more than most players .

Aegan runners one of my favourite starting units. Fast guys who can do good charge in a back or just masacre enemy range infantry. Playing as Achilies for me quite fast Homeric victory compared to Ajax for example, but neighboers always want to strike me in a back, so daddy-in-law Lycomedes and old Eudoros protect my Myrmidon Kingdom borders when Achilles and Patrovolus bang trojans.

I'm pretty new to tw and troy and I've been playing along with the video on easy seeing as i have no idea whats going on, but what I've noticed is that for some reason i cant get as much stone in the early non aggression pact agreements as you do to built the watch tower thing later on, which forces me to buy stone later just to get it and i don't get so many trade offers when ending my turns because i just get a stupid amount of resources every turn for being on easy so i cant slip the non aggression pacts in as often. Also the Ai isn't as aggressive so i don't get all those benefits so i improvise where i cant follow your guide. TL:DR Playing on easy is stupidly easy and makes it hard to follow the guide to a extend PS. This guide did help me a lot and a lot has changed in game since this vid was posted so It would be cool if you could do a updated guide to bring back the efficiently of this to the current update

I do not remember if I did the Prayer to Athena to get the recruit rank up. If so, you have to wait until your next turn for the recruit rank of the prayer to activate

The best Paris strategy is to take Helen to some small island in the middle of the Aegean and just leave her there. Let her get recaptured or maybe just assimilate with the harpies, then start a campaign with a real character.

I would follow the guide on his to max out all of the gods by turn 40 on my channel for the prayers and for the mythic units i would go for the big dog and his undead units

autoresolve. once you get large enough and 10 turns pass after war declarations you can get peace and resources from them.

I can't figure out a good way to leverage the dominance mechanic. The game tells you to use it for getting confederations but I haven't been able to do that yet.

@@tonynussbaum so you know that unique diomedes building that lowers upkeep for armies in province? Stack it in a commandery, recruit a bunch of militia units, use dominance, and with that massive, cheap military strength, any diplomatic bonuses u get, and the dominance, u can confederate easier!
