Holy this video is packed with really good information! Honestly, even if L!F!Alear, personally, wasn't going to hold up on her own, the support she offers her partner still makes her very valuable. All I'm missing is Fallen Maria (for Alear and also AR-D), hopefully she can get a rerun sometimes soon . Great video!!

Just to point out if you are a Rhea fan like me, Alear helps her proc her B and solves the problems she has getting kills against spd % dmg reduction, i just think is neat.

As far as tanking did I miss something I saw her get beat by the duo chrom. But I didnt see the testing against Hinoka. I'm assuming since they share fire season if she runs into a catria ball Hinoka it's gg for Alear too

Hinoka is definitely a rough match up for her as well if Hinoka has Catria or any type of support.

Maybe, but I think you shouldn't underestimate the healing potential of her finish skill

It's definitely an option, but it will depend on what the stat check is and giving up the extra healing can definitely hurt her performance without proper support

Incredible video! Thanks for showing off all that testing; it can certainly be tedious to record. I think for ARO I'm going to pair her with Fallen Byleth on 1 team and have a separate team with just her as the tank. For SD... I'm torn between Summer F!Shez and Tea Ayra... Ayra probably is the better choice though. I also love the ides of pairing her with Winter Knight.

I think the most important support that she needs if she wants to tank more is Stone Divine Veins. Adding that 10 true DR to special procs when she already has Beacon/Floe like DR is basically life and death for her, especially against the red nukes that proc specials easily

it seems like powercreep is pushing us towards a meta where units now are capable of multiple roles at a time. Where support units like CYL's soren and robin, even citrinne to some extent, give unique supportive effects while also being able to hold their own in combat. L!Alear also proves the point where being the best omnitank in the game isnt good enough, so she can give special DR piercing as well. Expensive inheritables like Guidance 4 and Divine Vein can somewhat bridge the gap for older units, but cost is a rather a key factor in play. Although this isnt really new, support units getting combative refines has been an constant trend. The newer units have gone so volatile in this direction where it kinda worries me.

Oh man, as a Brave Gullveig fan, I sure love that my F2P unit has gotten better by being paired up with the new shiny hero introduced in the LEAST F2P FRIENDLY banner type in the game! But hey, at least Atk/Spd Pledge is NOT available to her, so I don't have to pull 2 Alears, that makes it better, right? :D
