I previously told you guys & girls that I have over 70 interviews that I’ve never posted. Either the sound was a little off or I just didn’t feel like it was time to post it. Mainly the individual I talked with afterward didn’t like something they said. So I never posted them. This interview was bittersweet because of the circumstances it came about. Mona Scott and her team approached me in 2015 in regards to doing a ballroom reality show. They first wanted to do a competition style similar to how legendary is and wanted some of the young hot performers. After a large interview process with lots of people they shifted gears. They decided that ballroom had a lot of talented and “unique” personalities and wanted to make it into a hole docufollow. After shooting tons of interviews and getting footage from Coldest Winter 2 plus behind the scenes stuff. They created a sizzle reel which I promise you was AMAZING. They then pitched it to several different networks and streaming services. They came back and said that they felt tv wasn’t “ready” for ballroom and had no interest at that time. It left me with a very sour attitude towards reality tv and networks. The best thing that came out of the situation was the interviews they had with the participants. Legendary Kassandra Ebony was super exciteded and nervous to participate. Through the interviews I myself learned how much he loved to vogue and wanted to inspire so many people through his style and technique. At his passing I seen so many people from EVERYWHERE discuss how much they lived him and his gifts. I wonder if he knew how revered and admired he truly was. Continue to sleep in peace Legendary Kassandra Ebony.
