Can somone explain to me how the voting works who gets chopped and who doesn't?, and why in some vidoes there is one person on stage and another person randomly joins.?

Judges give 10s or chops to the voguers(Yes or no to advance to the battle rounds). There’s always an odd number of judges so there’s no ties. In this video the voguers are battling to advance to the next battle round. The people walking on the stage are normally the commentators who chant to the beat and count the votes.
