What's a hard CAMPAIGN? Kislev? Nurgle ? No defeat campaign as one of them. I hadn't seen a legend campaign with some sweat. It's what made warhammer 2 great for me

I wish there were more advanced unit formations in total war warhammer , at very least for the professional armies like elves and empire etc or even unit specific I know they get a built in charge deflect or missile block but I Dno there’s just an element missing from A tactical perspective

Yeah, it would be cool. Bretonnia kinda has it in some cavalry formations, like a wedge and the like, but total war def is lacking. From what I understand it’s because shit like magic and the different damage profiles and stuff is a reason they didn’t pursue it too much, though thats just hearsay. I reckon it was lowkey just a bit of laziness lol That and its meant to sort of partially simulate the tabletop, which there doesn’t have much in the way of unit formations from what I understand.

@@whatcouldbeupdog nah they did leave out a bunch of formations but yeah it also isn’t really a thing with shield wall and the likes but given that they are fantasy versions of real life units , for the humans anyway there’s no reason why they wouldn’t or couldn’t , maybe they thought it was too much to manage I Dno it just feels a bit lacking to me when I play if they fucked off the ladders they pull out of nowhere had it as a thing you can equip to a couple units in a siege gave the units a testudo or something to block arrows and approach a wall that at the very least would make sieges more engaging

The issue with Malekith is that he just gets overhwelmed His ai is fit to make him a top dog its just he has too many aggressive enemies who hate him Theres a mod that thurns off most racial aversion and youll find that with a lack of oppression he takes over all of naggarond and ulthwan
