He's catching shít from the very spörts mëdia tälking heäds that refused to vote him in as FMVP. That award is very subjective and it isn't something you can win. There’s no metrics or objectives to be achieved. They can simply group-txt each other and decide who they want to have the award. Then go on-air and beat him down for not winning a subjective award that they vote for, Smh… They were all protecting the narrative that Lëbrön is the face of the NBA and felt Steph was and is a threat to that face of the NBA narrative. Steph is a threät to the NBA Frönt Offíce desire to keep Lëbrön as the face of the NBA. Because Steph is widely accepted across all sports, especially golf, and is more articulate and endearing than Lëbrön. He’s also much more popular worldwide. His jersey outsells Lëbrön’s jersey 100-to-one in Chínä, Phílippinës and Thäiland alone. If Steph wins another Ring, it’ll be hard to argue against him becoming the face of the NBA. But I truly feel if Steph goes for 50pts in game 5, and 60pts to close out the series in 6, they’ll vote for Draymond as FMVP. They’ll argue that it was Draymond who changed the series in game two with antics.

It is easy to see why he won, but take away the narrative and focus on the stats and who played most minutes and performed better between the two it is obvious Steph should have won that finals MVP

I watched those finals and at the time I was fine with Iggy getting FMVP. Iggy had some big momentum building plays and was the primary defender on LeBron, who averaged under 40% FG shooting on over 33 shot attempts a game. I dont care that LeBron averaged 35 a game in the 2015 finals. If you're efficiency is that bad, and your taking close to half of all available shots for your team, the defence is winning big time. With that being said, I retrospectively wish now that Steph won FMVP then, because of how much legacy nonsense people put into it.

@@Letsbehonest37 that is because Andre is their best defender against Lebron so it makes perfect to put him in the starting lineup, but him being a finals MVP is a different story it should always go to the player who has the better performance and Steph has the better average per game in the 2015 finals.

The video explains why Steph should've won. The reason he didn't, and Iggy did is all about the actual voters. 11 media people voted for that award. Half of them never played or even coached in the NBA, or any professional basketball. There's something you can't learn by re-watching the games and that's the actual narratives the media was telling during that series. The way I remember it, their favorite narrative was Kerr listening to a video assistant and changing the starting lineup in the middle of the series. The real story might have been more nuanced (changing the actual defensive strategy, as the video shows, and Iggy being better at calling for those double teams), but for the reporters telling those stories, that was just too complicated. Much easier to say an assistant said start Iggy and Kerr listened and look, they just keep winning. 7 of those 11 media people went with that narrative and voted for Andre, the other 4 voted for Lebron. It's ridiculous the media that gets those votes wrong then spends the rest of time pretending it wasn't them that got it wrong. If the Warriors win, they'll give Steph the FMVP and have new narratives for the next few months about how Steph was finally able to win it because he finally showed up to a finals series. It's all dumb and NBA fans should realize who votes, how clueless they are about basketball, and why these awards shouldn't count towards anything.

Marcus smart is rated as the 4th best defensive guard. He's the defensive player of the year. Steph well he was rated as the fifth best defender. He's casted as the worse defender of all time despite the fact that most elite players switch on him and struggle to actually score. Just watch the footage of all the turnovers. In fact the infamous 3-1 comeback was made possible because Draymond was suspended and curry was fouled out of the game. The fact no analyst ever mentions that shows you how rigged those games were. Curry locked kyrie up and every time he got a steal they called a foul. The nba tried the same thing this year with Boston. Boston shot double the amount of FTs GS shot. Gs didn't get to the line until the 4th qtr in game 6 despite the celtics excessive reaching grabbing swiping charging and holding. Steph didn't allow the league to rob him this time

It's actually kinda scary how the ESPN graphics can just be flat-out fake as you showed, I laughed so hard at the TO where Delly wasn't on the court. This video shows that watching the games with your own eyes is way more important/valuable than listening to "sports analysts", great job.

Steph really should have 3 because he should have won in 2015, but he should have won 1 of those KD years as he outplayed KD in 3 if 4 games but the series numbers were skewed because in one game KD had 44 & steph had 7. So the numbers were alot closer then they should have been.

Great breakdown! What about the two KD fmvps? Not taking anything from KD but I can see why some people making the argument that Curry might have a claim too. I mean being the engine of their offense, curry’s impact was not fully reflected stats wise but KD did raise the ceiling. Das tough

Honestly think he should’ve won the 2018 FMVP, he had a bad Game 3, but KD had a bad Game 1, so that argument KD was more consistent is thrown out the window. Curry should’ve had two FMVPs and hopefully this year he gets one.

14:04 Lebron generating even a below average with the teammates he did is a testament to how good he was in this series. Lebron's starting 5: J.R Smith: 0.312% from the field and 0.294 from 2 Matthew Dellavedova: 0.283 and 0.231 Iman Shumpert: 0.256 and 0.320 James Jones: 0.316 and 0.308 Lebron's teammates when he wasn't on the floor went 6/35 for a 17,1 FG%. If Lebron's teammates shoot even below average in this series the Cavs would've generated a good enough offense to win the series, but instead they shot historically bad and lost the series for Lebron. Lebron also led all players in ppg, rpg, apg and most advanced statistical categories outside of shooting metrics.

Well done sir. Did you happen to notice how it took time for the warriors to adjust to the officiating? Basically lebron was the league's icon and they were trying hard to get him that ring. Do you have one on the next year, with the phantom foul calls on the warriors contrasted to what the Cavs were allowed. I understand the league won't leave the money to complete chance but that fix was bad showmanship by the league. Same as that year's Superbowl. The refs needed to learn to cheat more entertainingly.

You made great points, but lost me on the gravity part. Iggy & other still have to make those timely baskets. I think the storyline was really what gave Igoudala that FMVP. This is one of those MVP’s when you just look at stats people will think Curry should’ve won. Reminds me of Desmond Howard over Farve and Reggie White. But in the moment, it was either Iggy or Lebron. (Vote split was 4 vs 3) and most had no problem with it.

I think they gave it to Iguodala because of Max Kellerman and they wanted to reward him because it's known he is a starter in the league and he took a lower role to help the team improve. The thing that does get me is that like LeBron was on his damn own. You can just put 2 people on him because who else is going to punish you now? No Kyrie and no Kevin Love but you gotta reward a player who contested 46 shots in 6 games? That's cap with a capital C.
