He was accused of DV by some tramp, handed an AVO which meant he couldn't go to his own house, was found living in a tree when they went to take him to court..... where the accuser admitted she made the whole thing up. There is one try by Damien Cook in Origin I think in 2019 from just the other side of halfway in New South Wales half because the Eric Grothe try was inside Canterbury's half, so it qualifies as long range since Cook took off from in his own half. He beat I think maybe 5 Maroons by himself to go in under the posts and it was not from broken play either and further out than the great Grothe try. He can still do it now and this is why you pick him in Game 2 and now Game 3. Stop picking Origin sides solely on first round club form it is misleading for big games and is one major reason the Blues get beat. Use proven big match fit performers even if they are out of form they will rise up. Cook proven big match strike player. Cody Walker 5/8 not half is always points and instant coordinated attack for when you have to pick players that have not played together. Recent history is Blues win Origin games when the key Souths players are in the Origin team. Penith too. Blend them together. Frizell too is an Origin performer. Origin is about victory now not building for the future or blooding players for next year. Souths players were fundamental to winning game 3 last year now add Latrell.
