if I'm understanding you right, what I used for those vibes is lots of harmonizing layers of different effects, most of which are vocoders! there's also some delay effects and reverb that can add to that vibe

im not sure how to properly answer this, ive been using vocaloid for almost 10 years now so it's mostly practice + trial and error, i think. i can say that using a lot of parameters (dyn, bri, gen, bre, air) and not just pitch makes a world of difference, along with studying acapellas of singers to hear what their voice is actually doing (volume wise, pitch wise, even syllable wise, and also the way they breathe). in addition i'll say for a song like this, the vocoder and the rest of the vocal fx mixing can help a lot and cover all the rougher spots of the tuning as well (im sorry if this seems kinda generic and not particularly helpful, it's honestly most of what goes through my mind while i tune)
