Great tribute to an almost forgotten hero. But starting to be less forgotten. I have one, a 2007 Interlagos Blue, 37,000mi, and absolutely love it. Compared to a 911 996 I owned it is more connected, more raw, more visceral. Love them both but the rarity and timeless styling of the M Coupe makes it that much more unique and special. And that S54 engine!!

@@Engineer10211 looks that way. Mine is a 2007 with 64000kms, 40,000mi. Similar cars look to be selling for around USD$40,000 on BAT this year. which is about 30-35% higher than I paid 2 years ago. But these cars are only just starting to be recognised for what they are - rare examples of the last combination of NA engine, hydraulic steering, manual gearbox, mechanical non-modulated suspension. And with unique styling that seems near timeless, and in fact seems better in 2021 than it was perceived in 2006. I think we'll see a steady climb in values over the next 5 years, and expect them to be at least double then.

Beautiful car! I owned the e86 3.0si for 9 gloriously happy years. I winced at the doughnuts tho. Do these engines suffer from oil starvation with doughnuts?I know the N55 engine does.

That's amazing, they're brilliant cars! No it doesn’t suffer from oil starvation because it has a different sump to the n55. The sump has a design where the oil doesn’t get stuck on one side when affected by cornering gravity. Also the s54 is a racing designed engine it has two oil pick ups as opposed to the n55 which only has one. - this was some insight from the owner ✌🏽
