I find it kind of interesting how all the teams from temples have that specific gong sound. Linh son, teo chew, Hoa Dao, Phap Quang (sometimes) among others

Legends of Kung Fu will host a Lion Dance Competition as part of the 2016 Legends of Kung Fu World Martial Arts Championship on July 22-25, 2016. Details will be posted on our website. This year's event is in conjunction with the 14th World Chin Woo Championship. Competitors from over 30 countries will attend for competitions in Traditional Kung Fu, Modern Wushu, Taiji, San Shou, Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, and more.

I used to run with the school that runs the Legends of Kung Fu tournament in Texas which is JK Wong Kung Fu Academy. Was a performer for them for a decade and nearly twenty years as a student - I left them on my own accord on August 2021 due to personal reasons connected with Jimmy Wong. Let's just say I no longer see Jimmy Wong as a Grandmaster nor someone who deserves respect as one. He's not what he appears to be at all, I knew him personally for a time.

Necro this from 2012... Hope these guys improved. Too much flailing and excitement making the lion turning the head in a too playful manner. There should be some calm in between.
