6:21 I love Taliesin's analogy that Percy in the Fey Realm was like an anime nerd visiting Japan for the first time. 😂

Darkish side note: the bird eaten by the plants at the beginning was based on Matt and Marishas own bird Dagon. They forgot the animators had done that until after Dagon passed and they saw the episode.

Matt telling the story of how they react every time they watch it is par for the course with CR humor. 😂
I remember their "this is fine" fireside chat where they filled their house with smoke as the fire alarm wouldn't stop going off and they were trying to make sure Dagon didn't breathe too much smoke lol

I'm glad y'all noticed that the song is a reference to the "makinmyway" running gag, many people (myself included) somehow didn't notice until it was pointed out. And I had literally watched a compilation of it the day I watched the episode.

Almost all of Percy's weapons are named after some form of communication - The List, Bad News, Retort, Diplomacy and Manners; the exception is Animus, which is often defined as "strong dislike or enmity; hostile attitude; animosity", and fittingly was created by Ripley instead. On a related note, I built out a homebrewed silenced pistol for a drow gunslinger in my Exandria set campaign, and I was inordinately pleased when, unprompted, he called it Liar.
@radicaladz Жыл бұрын
The item card for the Liar Pistol... Liar Pistol Weapon (pistol), rare gp Weight: 3 lbs Firearms are still a relatively recent novelty in Exandria, with their manufacture and creation outside of Whitestone, home of their inventor Percival de Rolo, being limited to a handful of crude replicas of the original designs of himself and Dr Anna Ripley. Attempts to combine their ballistic elements with any kind of magical enchantment prove equally rare and are prone to danger for both the craftsman and potential user. This item, however, is unique amongst its peers: the first truly silent pistol, a weapon capable of silent but deadly accuracy. Not only is it deadly but its design is a work of expert craftsmanship - unlike its chunky predecessors, this gun has a single long barrel, etched with runes, a rotating cylinder, and a switch that activates a silence spell around the immediate radius of the weapon. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Firearms are a new and volatile technology, and as such bring their own unique set of weapon properties. Some properties are followed by a number, and this number signifies an element of that property (outlined below). These properties replace the optional ones presented in the Dungeon Master’s Guide. Firearms are ranged weapons. Reload The weapon can be fired a number of times equal to its Reload score before you must spend 1 attack or 1 action to reload. You must have one free hand to reload a firearm. Misfire Whenever you make an attack roll with a firearm, and the dice roll is equal to or lower than the weapon’s Misfire score, the weapon misfires. The attack misses, and the weapon cannot be used again until you spend an action to try and repair it. To repair your firearm, you must make a successful Tinker’s Tools check (DC equal to 8 + misfire score). If your check fails, the weapon is broken and must be mended out of combat at a quarter of the cost of the firearm. Creatures who use a firearm without being proficient increase the weapon’s misfire score by 1. Explosive Upon a hit, everything within 5 ft of the target must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier) or suffer 1d8 fire damage. If the weapon misses, the ammunition fails to detonate, or bounces away harmlessly before doing so. Silencer As a free action, the wielder of this weapon can activate a silence spell encompassing a 2 foot radius of the barrel. It has 4 charges of 1 min in duration, which reset after a long rest. Silent But Deadly Downing an opponent with the silencer function engaged provides advantage on the next attack roll made with the weapon. Ammunition All firearms require ammunition to make an attack, and due to their rare nature, ammunition may be near impossible to find or purchase. However, if materials are gathered, you can craft ammunition yourself using your Tinker’s Tools at half the cost. Each firearm uses its own unique ammunition and is generally sold or crafted in batches listed below next to the price. It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

8:47 - 9:02 What's hilarious is that one of the main animators for the show FOUGHT to get the talking butthole animated. Also, I love that the cast reacted to Umbrasyl and Thordak's interactions regarding the Vestiges like a dad being dismissive of his punk teenager son and him being upset that he bought a sword for WAY too much money. XD Also, I wish to squeesh deh kitty Camo.

7:22 - *”I did not draw those.” - “Oh my gosh!” - “Incredibly lewd.”* That has _got_ to be a dig at some… _inappropriate_ fanart they encountered. I mean, early on, when _Critical Role_ had just exploded in popularity and the first wave of fanart came in, they must have had some… _experiences_ before they learned to let someone else sift through it and only show them a “curated selection”, if you will.

0:25 dick jokes? funny you should say that! because of Vex'Ahlias line about they having less dick jokes now that they were missing Scanlan. 0:59 see, Kat. You don't have to do that, the Critical Role crew has been rolling straight Nat 20 this whole season. Ain't nothing that you can do to change that! 1:38 I was thinking the exact same thing! 3:52 R.I.P. Dagon, the pet bird of Matt and Marishas this little creature was modeled after, after the desition was made, the bird sadly passed away, making Matt and Marisha horrified when seeing the final cut for this! also. NOT what I expected Paulas reaction would be! 4:59 YES! Paula gets it! 7:15 so happy you gals are giving Garmelie some proper love. My only lament is that we could not get Kats genuine first reaction to the character. (look I get it! I myself gulped the entire Campaign 1 in under a year! Critical role is addictive!) 7:59 Look, there is many reasons to love Critical role. but this, taking a running inside joke around the table and basing a country song in their animated retelling of their epic first adventure? pure genious!! 13:18 I'm so happy someone is getting it! yes, I have no friends. is it evident yet?

Not a fan of how they took Grog's muscles in this version, mostly because it's blatently obvious when he'll get them back; but they got some good comedy out of it, and an opportunity to hear Ashley sing. Of course they got Cheech to voice Trinket in the trip scene.

When Vex & Keyleth were tripping, did you notice how many eyes were circling her? Kats not alone in her dislike of the Fay wild part from tne Stream, Keyleths actions make her kind of a hypocrite with regards to her actions towards Rishain.
