It is a gravity fed track. So the track starts high and is on a continuous slope, which allows the cars to keep moving down the track.

I did some testing with dirt and it did not go well, unfortunately. I could paint the track a dirt color, but that would not work out well, since I have other series that would not be on dirt. These Legends cars would have certainly run open paved tracks as well.
