Judging by what the showrunner has said, next season will likely have a different type of villain compared to Tal-Roe and it'll be someone who hasn't appeared in Supergirl. The showrunner seems to be adamant about doing things that are fresh and family oriented.

I just hope they continue with this "Reign of the Supermen" esq theme in season 2. They've got Superboy (Jordan), Steel, and The Eradicator. We need Cyborg Superman now, and then maybe Doomsday

Im 100% with Stewart. The brothers relationship (John-Jordan) is what I loved the most. Its been a consistent season with amazing family moments. Great acting. All characters are likable, including Kyle. He was so disliked earlier and now i want to see more of him.

So we have Superman, Supergirl, Mon El, Keelex, Steel, Steel 2 and Superboys on the Arrowverse now. I kind of wish Titans was a part of the Arrowverse, so that Conner and Krypto were there as well and we would have the whole Superfamily together.

Kara was suppose to be in this season but they had to scrap it because of COVID along with the planned crossover with BATWOMAN. Melissa has stated several times that she is up for coming back to play Kara/Supergirl for guest appearances for a couple of episodes on any of the shows and she is willing to comeback for like crossover events. And since she is left alive and in present day it will likely happen. Maybe not until COVID is fully behind us. But she will be back to guest on THE FLASH, BATWOMAN, SUPERMAN AND LOIS, etc.

Overall I would say this was a pretty good first season of the show. Definitely a strong start to the show and I’m quite excited to see where it goes in future. I’m not as into the show as most others, but I do still like it quite a lot. I do have some issues with the show, but they’re mostly small things.

@@Ghost-pb4ts minor things like I don’t really like Steel’s suit. I wish it looked a bit closer to how it is in the comics. Another one is the Fortress Of Solitude. It looks so plain, especially in comparison to how we’ve seen it in Supergirl. There’s some other stuff like how General Zod wasn’t used much, there are some things that feel weird about it being connected to the rest of The Arrowverse like how they don’t mention other heroes or Kryptonians like Supergirl much and that Jon hasn’t got any powers. As I said, its mostly small things and most of it could change in the future.

Zeta-Rho’s memories being visible in Jordan’s mind isn’t a plot hole. Jor-El specifically stated that the same technology that comprises the Eradicator was also used to implant his consciousness in the sunstone crystal used to create the Fortress. So Zeta-Rho’s memories and consciousness reside in both the Eradicator and Tal-Rho’s sunstone crystal, the same as Lara Lor-Van and the crystal Zeta stole. I don’t know if memories are shared between the two iterations, but since Zeta-Rho’s plan was decades in the making since sending his son to Earth, they wouldn’t really have to be for him to be up to date. It’s a bit like Altered Carbon, where a digital backup of a person can exist in multiple bodies and iterations simultaneously.

I loved the finale but pissed of how quickly The Eradicator was defeated. Other than that it was amazing. I'm glad Morgan Edge is still alive, we will get more of him.

Feel like with a bigger budget they would have had to cracks on the eradicator, the first failing spectacularly, maybe because John was concerned about the suits power, then when in the final attempt steel goes full out sacrificing himself then it would be more suspenseful. But what we got was still amazing.

I agree with you that Saherorah is suspecting something. I thought overall this was an impressive first season. Really well done. Great mix of superheroes and family drama. Didn't get into the standard tropes like Kyle being a bad guy. He had a good arc. Lastly I love the way they show Superman using his powers. I figured that the other Kryptonians were not as skilled at using their powers as to why he could beat them.

To clear up your confusion! The sun crystals contain AI versions of krptonians, where as the Eradicator (device) contained Kryptonian consciences! So memories would very much be implanted during the process too! :)

I think they find his mother's crystal. Pretty sure Zeta-Ro said he hid it not destroy it. Curious if Jordan retained any of his memories and can figure out where it is. They wouldn't have thrown that in there just not to use it one day.

Really enjoyed this episode and it was a great first season. Acting has been great, show is so well casted, writing really solid but I would like them to slow a bit with resolutions, direction and cinematography great! Couple of plot issues (but I choose to ignore and didn't impact my enjoyment), the Zeta memories in the fortress shouldn't have been there and also the device was off Jordan's head when he stood up. With Natalie being able to travel to this earth it really opens up the whole multi-verse again. A lot of questions to answer. Are they ever going to find the mom's crystal as they made the point a couple of times that it was in Tal-Ro's ship. As you guys mentioned, I would never have imagined getting emotional about a funeral for a crystal, this show is so good at pulling the emotion out. It could feel cheesy but it makes it work. I do think the black suited superman from Irons earth will appear at some point, also something may come of the girl Jonathon is flirting with and her father. It will be interesting to see the dynamic between Nat and each of the Kent family members, I hope she gets over the Sups/Clark issues quickly (we've done the mistrust already), the dynamic with Lois will be interesting and I would love to see her and Jonathon working together to build gadgets/suits with steel. Can't wait for season 2 and seeing this cast in action again. Roll on Feb 2022 :D

The fast resolutions are what makes the show good, IMO. Any other show would drag out these family conflicts, but S&L solves it within the same episode. The season length is perfect for this show.

@@stormbringer795 Agree re the fast resolutions for family conflict and I love the way this family communicate and resolve things, I'm more so talking about the external threats. Not a huge thing as I love this show but they can move at a 'super' fast speed through stories at times

This show is not on HBO Max for now. It was briefly on it for a couple weeks during the first break but it was taken off and hasn't come back. Maybe it gets a lot of views on the CW website

@@karenbell5309 Yes. HBO Max after the season ends. This is the case with all new CW shows as HBO Max and CW have the same parent company. WB. CW is also partly owned by CBS. CW C=CBS W=WB. Eventually all CW shows will go to HBO Max once the Netflix deal full expires. So eventually THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL Supergirl, ARROW, RIVERDALE, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, BLACK LIGHTNING, ROSWELL NEW MEXICO, so and so forth all will eventually be on HBO MAX.

A minor complaint I have for this show is there doesn't seem to be much stakes. Not really any deaths other than Martha Kent and fake Jor-El I guess. I feel like at least some Smallville residents could have died after being eradicated (other than that one guy)

I agree to a point but I'm guessing that's due to this being the first season. We haven't really gotten attached to anyone properly and the ones we have gotten attached too are main characters .. we can't kill them so soon lol

I think if anyone “could” have died, it would’ve been Sam Lane. I do think that there doesn’t need to be a lot of death for the show to have stakes. There’s the “secret identity” stake, there’s the social stakes, and there is the family stakes.

How is Lois going to deal with this knowing she lost a daughter. How is Nat going to react to Clark/Superman.
