I recently noticed aiden can't use smgs I wonder if this is just a bug since you can use just about every weapon with aiden it just seems so strange to not add smgs to that list

It's cause Wrench is the one allowed to use SMG's and Rocket Launchers, so it makes sense they wanted to give a reason to play as Wrench too by making Aiden unable to use those.

There are only 3 or so missions where you cannot One is the vert start of tge gane where you need to go to the safehouse The other 2 require specific character types. But besides that yes the entire game can be played as aiden However! You only unlock aiden by season pass or seperately in the store menu. Buying the dlc does not give you aiden for the main game and is only the dlc story
