If that doesn't work, try the beta one linked. I don't know what bugs they have, but one of these should work. Worst case, you could side load official AMD drivers and remove Legion's build of them. Good luck

Does this device have bypass charging function. I'm planning to buy it and I'll probably plug it in and use it most of the time
@ColtonJ5 ай бұрын
I believe so. You can also adjust the speed of the charge in the BIOS now. I believe the system bypasses the battery in many occasions; heat build up, full battery, etc. The speed used to be slow and/or wouldn't charge at all while doing intensive gaming. I believe this new mode hits 80% and then bypasses it as well. I don't think it's flowing through the battery and doing a consistent mini cycle, but I'm not 100% sure on it.

I'd definitely turn this new conservation function on. I would go into the BIOS and set the charging to slow (the way it came). I think that's really all you can do. You could try cycling the battery a few times. Fully drain it to 0, full charge it to 100, no interruptions, etc. Realistically, you can swap the battery at some point. Good luck

@ColtonJ5 ай бұрын
Hey, I saw someone else mention this the other day. It does have an error margin of +- 5%, but should still stay below 85% (granted the readings may not be exact in the system anyhow). Last night, I decided to really pay attention to this because of that comment. My first time using the function, it worked. So, I know it works. Last night, it didn't work, just like you. I thought, hmm... Well, I tried Legion Space open (in the background), closed, etc. Nothing seemed to change. I then toggled the damn thing off, waited a few seconds, and then toggled it back on. All of a sudden, it functioned again. I watched closely for 2 hours, it stayed at 80% with the OEM charger (not that I think that matters, lol). For reference, I was in balanced mode using mid-level processing power for what I was doing. I hope I don't have to toggle it on/off each time I turn it on. I will watch again next time I use it. Maybe something that simple may kick it in to gear. Hope that helps you out 🙃

Watching FPS on one person's gameplay without them comparing many different settings to optimize, having a control, etc. isn't really a great way to gauge a product. Every game is going to be different. Each one of us can tweak the settings to make certain games perform better than someone else might. If there's one game that you need that just won't perform, and many people get the same results, then that may be viable evidence. Additionally, both the ROG and Go have the same processor, with the Go having slightly better RAM and the ROG having VRR, among other differences. It really depends on so many factors to improve gameplay. That's just my 2 cents. Either option is going to work and be very similar in performance.

@ColtonJ5 ай бұрын
I've not heard of that program. If it's strictly an iOS app, then no. You cannot run phone apps from iPhone on PC. Even if you could emulate a jailbroken iOS system, like Android/Windows emulation programs do, it would consume far too many extra resources, and it would not be wise to do so just for this type of app. That being said, this unit is more capable than an iPhone, and you could edit videos with better software that is dedicated for PC. My full review shows Premiere Pro, as an example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKSvkGdneqmIjdk
@TheDojo-no7cw5 ай бұрын
@@ColtonJ there is an android version of that app as well
@ColtonJ5 ай бұрын
You can try something like BlueStacks to emulate Android on PC and buy the app on there. BlueStacks uses a lot of power/resources from the CPU. Like I said, it wouldn't be smart just to use this basic editing app. There are far better editing apps that will be built specifically for Windows. Editing alone will already strain most systems, or go beyond their limits, including this unit, especially with higher quality video, effects, etc. You can always try it and see what happens.

@ColtonJ4 ай бұрын
You've tried adjusting the resolution via the Window's display settings, right? You're saying it won't show anything higher than 480p? This could be a lot of things. However, when resolution is stuck that low, it's usually one of two things; the cable, or the graphics driver. I would try updating/reverting/disabling AMD drivers as a variable test, one by one. I would also try another cable to be sure. A lot of cables say they're rated for things, but they aren't. Good luck

@@ColtonJ yeah same issue for me too. Thank god i am not allone with this. There are multiple posts about this over on reddit, here in some youtube comments, and on the lenovo Community page aswell. So this has to be some bug right? I hope they fix this soon. Cause i dont wanna sideload any drivers or other stuff like that. Keeping everything ORIGINAL on my Legion Go. (-: But yeah, that chipset driver won't go away. Even when you download it but INSTALL it manualy.. It keeps showing back up in Legion space. But that driver is INSTALLED. New Update... New bugs... You got to love it. (-;

Lol, yea...it seems to a bug. The way I look at it is that it could be worse. At least we can install directly from the website to keep it original.

I was hoping it was going to solve my problem with the controllers not working outside of legion space but it did not. Super frustrated.

Your controller doesn't work for anything? Did you try Steam input or configuring it as an Xbox controller? As ridiculous as it sounds, is FPS mode toggled on? Also, there's an update controller firmware button inside of Legion Space.

Does the custom wattage works?

If you mean the TDP setting in "custom," then yes, it works.
