Ok, glad it’s not just me that can’t get this game run on the Go. I’m not willing to side load, so I guess I’m just waiting for updated legion Go drivers. At least I can play on my pc until then.

Same sort of issues you were having in the video until I side loaded the drivers. Only issue I have now is getting it to load. I have to end "steam Web helper" in task manager to get it to run.. super annoying atm but when it loads it's running okay.

Yea this was the worst I have run into. But the oem drivers have been getting worse and worse as new games land. I had no choice lol. Sideload for first time since launch just so I can cover the game and hopefully let people know. On to GoW Ragnarok now 👀😂

I try change to vram 8 gb then to auto it just frozen so badly during the cutscene when his brother turn to phoenix

You need to leave enough system ram so 4 or 6 GB is fine for vram here. Not auto and 8 is to much rly. The issue is the oem official gpu drivers from Lenovo being so out of date which is why I had to side load them

You went on a little tangent about how it's a poor port because of how poorly optimized it is and whatnot. I just wanted to let you know that it actually ran like ass on the PS5 aswell. Performance mode's dynamic resolution often dipped to 720p if I recall? And even the 30fps graphics mode was like 1440p at best. TL;DR As a port it's fine, as a game in and of itself it could use some optimizing. Very beautiful game though. Also Digital Foundry recently did a video where most of the graphics settings barely affected the performance at all. I'd be curious in seeing how it looks and runs with your current resolution and upscaling settings, just with some of the settings turned up. I know texture resolution likely can't really be tweaked though due to the low vram.

@@FruitLoop2020 its pretty safe and worse case we can always factory reset our Legion Go’s or reset windows. I am going to have a tutorial video soon.

Msi afterburner. Mine has been customized over the years so looks diff but msi afterburner is what I use. It hate the built in overlays from Lenovo and Asus lol.

Did you try the Adrenalin Edition Preview Drivers for AFMF 2, it made wonders on other games. Maybe it will help with this one too. Unfortunately I do not own this game yet, so I could not test it out.

I’ve tried to demo but I can’t get past the first opening cutscenes wittily freezing. Even in 8gb vram. On 800 resolution it freezes as soon as phoenix aplears , on higher reso it goes a little bit further but only like 30 seconds before freezing. Do you think it’s a driver issue? I’m still on Lenovo official. I’m not sure I’m smart enough to side load drivers lol

Same exact issues i was having before sideloading the driver. Unfortunately that was my only fix. That or wait for lenovo to release their update and I have no idea when that will be.

@@OliviaVenson-d3l Still got the same issue even after using the newest adrenalin driver plus the mod fix, I fking regretted buying without playing its demo beforehand. It's ridiculous how well Black Myth Kong can run compare to FFXVI, despite also having Denuvo.

My Legion Go is getting delivered tomorrow. But if Lenovo isn't even updating GPU drivers, I'm just going to return it without even opening it. This is pathetic.

You obviously don't know how these companies run. Its on AMD to update the drivers not Lenovo. You really think Lenovo has a dedicated software department that writes and updates video card drivers for each new game or game update that comes out lol? They don't, that's AMDs job because they designed the silicon. Lenovo just takes whatever update AMD writes and tweak them a little bit. If AMD doesn't release any updated drivers there's nothing Lenovo can work with.

@@tiagosantos1978 unfortunately I have not been able to make the game work for more than a few minutes on the official lenovo drivers. This is my biggest and almost only real complaint about the Go. We need official updates more often.

Yea that works great for those who have one to do that. At home on my network i get a better experience with GeForce NOW than streaming my PC which has been running this game great on their 4080.

How legion go can use XESS? it is for intel CPU...

Just like FSR from AMD XESS can be used on any gpu / cpu setup. Unlike DLSS which is locked to Nvidia. That being said typically FSR is better on AMD hardware as its native and XESS on Intel as its Native there. But either can be used and depending the game one can be a little better than the other sometimes.

Hi, even if the game runs on 15FPS, is it still playable? I'll take consistent 20FPS as long as there's no frame/lag spikes or stutters tbh. That was the situation for MH Rise on the Switch, the game drops to 15-20FPS on maps with liquid reflections + 2 monsters but it doesn't stutter and was still completely fine.

I cant say 15fps is playable and playable is subjective for each person. But your right that frametimes pacing and no stutter is more important than actual framerate. You can play angame with low fps if its no stutter and good pacing. But you cant rly play if its a stutter mess and frametimes all over even if you high fps.

Dude, what happened with the testing of MSI Claw ? That's why I subscribed... This stuff are boring. The same Z1 CPU in every device. Intel Lunar Lake with Xe 2 is coming, so its interesting to see how the drivers are doing etc... Anyway, keep the good work.

Sorry man I got rid of the claw for now. Its a rough device. Its thermals and performance are not great. Its a handheld I cannot recommend anyone buy over the other options out there. It feels like a straight prototype and those Ultra chips may be fine in laptops but are not made for handhelds. I will be getting the next Claw due for preorders around January I believe and will be testing that here. Sorry but my heart just wasnt in making content for a device I cant recommend at all. The performance of those claw chips at tdp a handheld can handle is just not it on this one. Hopefully Intel makes nice strides with their the next chip. Its supposed to finally reach up to and possibly slightly beat from time to time the z1 extreme. That will be intels catch up moment for 2025 and hopefully come 2026 Intels mobile handheld device chips are amazing and matching or beating competitors performance. Will see. I appreciate you being here hope you hang around.
