Hi, I’m Nico Murillo, and I got laid off from Tesla on 4/15/2024. I was a Production Supervisor making $120k/yr, and was with the company for 5 years. I started in 2019, as an entry level Production Associate at $19/hr. After getting laid off, had to make the decision to sell the $1.2M house. Me, my little brother and my parents decided to sell most of our belongings and I decided to move into my 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I worked at Tesla, I slept in my car on work days to avoid my 3 hour round trip commute time from Lathrop, Ca to Fremont, Ca. I created a platform in my trunk with the use of Michaels, Home Depot products, and a soft mattress, where I now call my home. Living in my car enables me to save money, and invest it. I am documenting my journey to financial independence by 2029. My hope is that by sharing my own personal highs and lows along this (sometimes) wild journey, you might be inspired to look into financial independence. Maybe one day i'll see you out on the open road.

Electric stove is nice as well but For me I prefer the non electric stove. Because it’s portable, you can cook on the ground while sitting on ur camping chair or camping table or u can cook somewhere when it’s raining. Or when u go to a river where ur car is unable to go because of a rough terrain, u can get the portable gas stove and can cook anywhere u want. Or when ur car is in a tilted parking space u cant cook well if the surface is not even/balanced. But the portable gas stove you can out it on the ground put something to make it balanced and U can cook. 😊

You should replace your butane stove with a portable propane stove. It works much better and lasts a lot longer.

I've been using this butane stove for months and it's been working great for me.

@@NicoMurillo I just think it will be easier than a conduction stove. Many stoves can use both butane and propane. If you go by the DC area sometime, I can give you mine :). Propane gives much higher btu. One travel propane bottle can feed a two burner or grill + burner stove and can easily last you a couple of weeks at least.

Whatsup bro! The battery doesn’t drain too much from just having the trunk and doors open Its only lights and stuff just remember not to keep the climate control running and u will be ok!
