That's because Fox had the licenses for many years, and when Disney bought that portion from Fox, we had to wait and see which direction they were going

Disney didn't want merch of characters that Fox held the movie rights for. Ever wondered why Marvel had that phase about 7 years ago for trying to replace the mutants with the Inhumans? Well now you know. They basically stopped Marvel making F4 comics just to spite Fox, reduce the popularity of the characters, and encourage a return of the rights.

PLO Koons star fighter was one of if not the earliest set I remember owning as a kid. I dropped the figure in between the seat of my mom’s car but could never find it. (I remember throwing a fit because she sold the car and I knew that meant my PLO Koon figure was gone forever). Definitely gonna pick up the set for the nostalgia!

The Thing used to be 6 ft tall, but now is 7.1 feet tall in the comics. He was still a big fig in the first Lego Marvel game. I would still perfer him as a big fig.

I reckon the next Marvel modular build will be the Baxter Building, as this year we only got one X-men set (the X-jet), but then we got the X-mansion to expand on it. So, it wouldn’t surprise me if we got a Baxter Building Modular to come out alongside the Galactus set. It would probably also be based off First Steps, but since that movie is going to showcase multiple low level Fantastic Four villains we could see a bunch of them make it into the set, maybe even both Silver Surfers as well.

Possible Mechs: Han Solo or Chewbacca seems the obvious choice with options of Obi Wan, Leia as Boushh? Jyn Erso? Rey? Lando? But possibly Droids? Rebel Trooper? Endor Trooper? Ewok? In terms on "in world" Kinda makes sense I would go with a Millennium Falcon inspired Han or an AT ST inspired Chewie. If they more into different eras then you would assume Clones, which would be mad popular

I am really disappointed by the fact that the Fantastic 4 set is movie based and that the thing is a minifig, immediately list all interest in the set. I see people commenting that the thing is only 6ft, so a minifig is fine, but he's a very bulky character and is notorious for his skirmishes with the Hulk.

To be honest, I'm still really interested in the Lego Fantastic Four: First Step set. It's exciting because it's the first Lego Marvel set based on this iconic superhero team, and I’m curious to see how it turns out. That said, I completely agree-it’s disappointing that we’ve never had an official Lego set for the Fantastic Four that stays true to their comic book origins, like the Marvel 616 universe. It’s honestly surprising for such a well-known and popular Marvel superhero franchise.

Idk, I always felt The Thing being a big fig was a little off putting. He’s not that much larger that a normal human, just a little bulkier because of the rocks covering his body. I think minifigure fits just fine. Although he could’ve gone the mister incredible kind of figure, but I digress

I just wish Fortnite leaned harder into playsets than display sets. Don't get me wrong, I love display sets! But for a game that's famous for all it's skins, Lego could really make a selling having all these sets where each playset comes with a bunch of characters and people would be scrambling to either get their favorite character or collect them all.
