I am just now discovering your channel! The Stellar Recon Voyager was my favorite LEGO space ship as a kid, and received it for my 6th birthday! I felt like it was very sturdy compared to other smaller ships (with open side cockpits). I definitely removed the rover and moved the dishes to the wingtips! Definitely a lot of classic Space themed sets from the past (mostly Space Police I) were even better, but this was my favorite out of ones I was gifted! Thanks for the nostalgia blast!

This is a great set! And a great theme! I really like the back part of the ship and those sloped window pieces are a great call-back to the classic space theme! And, the transparent hinge piece is great too - very nice! Great work as always and it looks like you are on the road for 1,000 very soon - super :-)

I know I'm well behind the release of this series, but I just have to say I absolutely love your reviews. Whenever you very plainly state (as though it were obvious) "Which is awesome" or "which is very cool" I always find myself nodding and thinking "yeah of course." xD very similar mindset. A beautiful set, the space themes start growing to me... On a sidenote however i managed to get a Killer Deal last week. The Lego Queen Anne's Revenge complete with instructions for 20 Euros. And man, this was a set that never really interested me that much or mustve went completly under my radar. It is beautiful... I wouldve never got this if it wasnt for that ebay offering that was in my suggestions. So glad.

@@TrikBrix Well I really like it. There are a few minor things could be done better. For example it has no doors for the captains cabin it is just open... and secondly I think a small boat wouldve been a good addition esspecially since there was a scene ik the movie involving one. And lastly I think Scrum shouldve been included. Still an awesome looking ship and for that price I basicly just robbed someone... next ship in my list is the Red Beard Runner...

That’s so cool that you got such a great deal... as you know, Pirates is my favorite theme, and eventually I’d love to collect them all, including the Caribbean sets. You’ve already got a huge head start on me! Lol Just from looking at pictures, I’m actually not a huge fan of the RBR, but I’d enjoy customizing it more to my liking, adding two more main sails and a jib sail. I’m currently putting together a top 25 Pirates sets video, and talk about it a bit more in that.

@@TrikBrix Top sets sounds great, im looking forward to it. When it comes to the RBR, i think it looks interesting because it is so different. But i might be blinded by nostalgia as this was the pirate ship I was looking at in the catalogs when I was a child. (Unfortunally when it was on my christmas wishlist my parents got me the 4+ redbeard ship with the weird Jack Stone guys instead) Btw Im jealous for your Amazon Ancient Ruins. That set is impossible to get for under 300 Euros over here...

That makes sense; I know there are a few sets I love because of nostalgia that other people might not look twice at. And that is crazy... it’s a cool set, and I’m glad to have it, but it isn’t worth anywhere near that. Hopefully you find a good deal on it the same way you did for the Queen Anne’s Revenge!

My only gripe with M-Tron is the fact there's no minifig variations. Literally just clones lol. Should have bin at least one other face variant, or an android.

Hey Jamie, another great review thanks! Just bought this set, complete with box and inner plastic tray and it's in really good condition! Just curious though, does anyone else think the ground clearance for the landing gear/ thruster parts could be better? They seem to be flush with the plate that holds the printed arrow tile, the magnetic boxes on the sides and the wheels of the little rover (I can understand the last one in fairness). But for even the thickness of just one more plate, they could've had it so that these parts aren't dragging along the ground... Oh well, more room for modifications I suppose!

Another really good video but I really don’t like this set! The rover is silly and its mounting location is ugly and silly. The storage bay at the back would have been so much better with side panels, doors or a ramp, and a crane that didn’t take up all the useful space. If I owned it I think I would be frustrated by its weird and nonsensical design features - so I won’t be buying it. The Mtron range had several much better sets IMHO.

What were they thinking with the cockpit design on this model? The rover in the front, the clipped-on antennae that attach to nothing, the steering wheel, _lattice_ framing (!!!), no seats, the tiny door...just bonkers stuff. But the back half is cool.

Yeah, there are just a few additions/changes that could’ve been made to really put it over the top. Still not a fan of the River dangling off the front. 😂

@TrikBrix yes having that on the front is horrible, and totally takes away from it traveling in space. It feels more like it's a transport helicopter type vehicle. Just moves stuff around the planet, but isn't stopped by different gravity/atmosphere. Kind of a let down for M Tron's biggest ship, but not all factions have to be big power houses. Someone got to do the labor jobs.

Lego was sweet. Was my biggest hobby growing up but I always felt it was too expensive for what you got and even more so these days. I think Lego was in it's prime in the 90s with stuff like this and the castle, pirate and wild west. The City lego was great too but now they seem to go with more license themes which I feel ruins the idea of Lego.
