This is absolutely amazing. You have done stuff with Lego that I never thought possible. Synchronized motor driven landing gear? That is next level. You should be a master builder working at Lego. Why are you not hired at Lego yet? They don't need a job interview, they just need to watch your builds on KZbin.

Well I’m glad his work is being recognized. His Air Force One is displayed next to the real one (the 747 next to the 707) and his B-36 is on display next to the real thing

Holy shyte! BIGPLANES!! Ive been subscribed for years now. Watching you grow over the years is AMAZING! from a little harrier jet (which i realy admire) to an a380 The to a dc10 with fully moterized landing gear!! 👍👍

I think the weight of the aircraft is going to damage the 24 tooth gear in your worm gear box. I suggest you make the nose gear lean back a bit so the tension is transferred onto the body of the aircraft and not solely on the gear box. You are going to be displaying it on a stand but still its better if you don't out too much tension on the worm gear box. Also great work man I've been following this channel for years and I love your stuff!

When this model is fully assembled there should be very little strain on the nose wheel due to the large engine in the back.

You honestly deserve way more subscribers, the amount of effort you put into building these aircraft is insane. I could never imagine myself being able to even build one of the engines. So far, the DC-10 is looking great and I look forward to seeing future progress. The landing gear mechanism is very cool and I’ve never truly understood how motorized parts worked.

Maybe try having the doors ride loose on the exposed black axle but with a separate rubber band and let the gear push them out and close via Rband. when the gear is out. Then have the middle exposed black axle (seeing this from angle at 5:01) push the doors back open when the front gear moves OR add them to the completed front door series drive train.

if you still have trouble with the main doors on the nose, try experimenting with stuff on those 2 long support axels, might work in some way. You always find a way however, so best of luck and great work!

I'm going to be honest with you. I love this channel and I think the content is great, but I would like to see you go outside your comfort zone with your next build by maybe making a lego build that is unique. I am not saying that what you are doing is not good, but I would enjoy something new like a military helicopter or fighter after this build. Another idea for making something unique is making a glider or a blimp. Please read this comment.

Whoo, this looks complicated! Try Pneumatic System for nose gear and doors. This should be easier for transfering the power the long way through the fuselage. Needs less space, maybe has less loss of torque (torsion deformation of long thin axels...). It also is more like the actual hydraulics systems in an real airplane that are used for such purposes. Nice work btw.👍 Best regards from Europe.
@hendrikdienel5714 Жыл бұрын
In the 90s Lego invented some sort of a flex wire system for power transmission. This would be great to tranfer motions through the fuselage. Unfortunately, I dont know any set numbers. Maybe you'll find it anywhere. I appreciate your personal challenge of building your great planes with original Lego parts only. But there's more about the straight mechanical systems of gears and axels, and maybe even more possibilities when using alternative (yet compatible) brands. I would like to encourage you to think "out of the box".
@sauravgupte6734 Жыл бұрын
Haha i've worked with pneumatics before and it is NOT a good idea. Pneumatics do not work at all for precise movements like this. You can get a general movement but air is extremely compressible. I tried using pneumatics for FLL 2022 but it was almost impossible to make it work!
