This was the set the defined my childhood. It was all I wanted for my sixth(?) birthday, but my mom couldn't find it anywhere, so she had to order it by mail. And that was such a new and exciting concept for my young mind that I had to tell my kindergarten teacher that my birthday present was coming in the mail, but she just responded, "That's nice, but we're talking about doctors and dentists right now."

I was probably 16 or 17 when I finally got this set from eBay 😁. Aquazone has always been my professed "favorite theme". I had the smaller sets growing up but the larger ones eluded me until I got my first job. I have seen some absolutely massive Aquazone MOCs on Brickshelf. I think that's what inspired me to pick up as many Aquazone pieces as I could find on Bricklink. I have tons of pieces now but need to get around to actually building something with them 😅. So glad you got over your camera shyness, I really enjoy videos like this and I love the stories you include!

I got this set from my son in law. 99.9% complete and baseplates intact. I built it and have it still set up. It’s so cool.

YES! I totally agree with you on the double baseplates. I miss getting raised baseplates! I didnt get enough of these Aquazone sets as a kid. I have some smaller ones like the Aquashark Shark Scout, Spy Shark, and Aquanaut Sea Sprint 9. Wish I would have gotten the bigger ones like this base! So Sweet.

This was the one set I never got as a kid. I had the other ships from this line. I really miss those base plates I wish we still got them.

Aquazone is amazing, especially all these hexagonal tubes it introduced. I understand that Lego wanted to downsize on the number of parts, which had gone a bit out of control through the 90s, but these particular ones should have been kept - they're a bit awkward to integrate with the newer, more rounded style that's prevalent today, but it still can be done

That is such an awesome-looking set. I'm with you. I love raised baseplates and wish LEGO would bring them back. And I like the idea of seeing a video of your parts collections. I think we all do similar hoarding of special pieces, so it'd be fun to see the similarities. Also, a Bricklink order from your store came in today. I've been trying to rebuild a bunch of my childhood sets, and the one I was able to complete today with the parts was 7128 Speeder Bikes. (It's one of the original Star Wars sets from 1999.) I have a bunch more to complete, but I figured you'd enjoy knowing that more classic sets are coming back to life, haha.

was just going through my storage lego, found somthing i forgotten, i have serveral shop at home lego catalogs from holiday1997 and it has this set 6195 the price new at that time is $99, its really cool lots of artwork looks liks comic book style
