I wonder if that's a universal experience. When I first saw the Battroid / Gerwalk mode, I also thought it was derpy as all heck. Over time, it grew on me, and now I can only see it as totally cool.

Had no idea about Macross until I was in my mid 20's. I grew up with this being Jetfire... Still just as awesome to see!

This is incredible! My dad still has the actual toy but it’s pretty old and too fragile now to transform. I’d love to be able to surprise him with this, would you consider releasing a complete parts list so other people can build this themselves by buying the specific parts?

The VF-1 Valkyrie has always been a personal favorite for me, a well earned like. You've the J-Type Head, you should try for the A and S-Type Heads as well as the FAST/Striker Packs as a follow-up for this masterpiece of a moc.

It probably is, actually! Hasbro licensed the Takutoku VF-1 toy to be sold as Skyfire in stores.

@@aguynamedlynx6397 The toy was called Jetfire. They were gonna call him that in the cartoon, but the cartoon model and name were changed. Iirc it was because Takara couldn't sell his toy on the Japanese market.

looks too fragile though. might be hard to easily transform, so difficult for kids to play with him. and kids, are the base customer for lego. Even if Im an adult collector since 1990.
